Offset was shot outside a casino in Florida last night. His rep says he’s recovering in the hospital, and he’s “fine”. Two people were detained, but there’s no word on their identities or a motive. Offset has six kids, including three with ex-wife Cardi B.
Ella Langley and Carrie Underwood both shared their faith through song on Easter Sunday. Ella Langley posted a video of herself at the piano singing “Because He Lives”. She also added”Even though I’ve been a believer in Christ my whole life, my relationship with Him has changed drastically over the last year. “I started to have ‘faith’ . . . view the days we have been given as a gift instead of a chore. I am so grateful for a God who leads with love and compassion. Thank you Jesus for giving me a way to spend eternity with you.” Carrie Underwood gave a surprise performance at her local church in Franklin, Tennessee. She sang “How Great Thou Art”, “Name Above All Names”, and “Redeemer”.
People all over the country have been noticing Luke Bryan’s face on a billboard that reads, “Opportunity knocks. Get the door.” So, what’s the deal? It’s part of a positive encouragement campaign called Pass It On for The Foundation for a Better Life. Even Luke got excited seeing it. He shared a video of himself yelling “Oh my God!” as he drove past it.
Randy Travis has been on the road since last year for the More Life Tour. It’s his original band with James Dupré singing his hits. At a recent stop, he received a standing ovation while being pushed onstage in a wheelchair. Randy says, “It’s the fans who make these appearances and shows so special, and the reason I keep doing it. I’ll be in Kentucky, Indiana, and Missouri next.”
Cody Johnson released a surprise cover of Merle Haggard’s “Footlights” in recognition of his birthday yesterday. Merle was born April 6th, 1937. He passed away on his birthday in 2016. Cody says, quote, “Merle Haggard’s music has been the soundtrack of my life. I couldn’t think of a better way to honor him on his birthday than by sharing our version of ‘Footlights’ . . . Hope we did it justice.”
