Jelly Roll has checked off just about every box on his career bucket list, and now he says the next chapter might not even involve music. During a backstage interview at the Grand Ole Opry, Jelly said he’s grateful for all he’s achieved. From Grammy Awards to CMA and ACM honors, plus becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry, he couldn’t be more proud. But looking ahead, he said he plans to pray about what’s next and follow wherever God leads him. He even said that if God told him to go work at a homeless shelter in Paducah, Kentucky, he’d leave the music business and, “Y’all will never see me again.”Jelly has already been talking about taking a break after finishing his recent tour. And now it looks like he might do just that.
Some people are saying that Morgan Wallen was snubbed when the CMA announced this year’s nominations. He was only nominated twice, and both are in the Musical Event of the Year category for his collaborations with other artists. Which means he wasn’t nominated for Entertainer of the Year or Male Vocalist of the Year. And since he’s the biggest touring artist in all of country music, it’s kind of ironic that he’s largely been sidelined for country’s biggest night. One person even suggested that the declining TV ratings at the CMA Awards is because Morgan’s never there.
During a recent show in Newark, New Jersey, Ella Langley told fans she was left speechless by all her CMA nominations. Ella just tied the record for the most nominations in a single year by a female artist. She has nominations for Entertainer of the Year . . . Female Vocalist of the Year . . . Album of the Year . . . and in several song and video categories. She told the crowd, quote, “God has been so good to me” . . . and thanked fans for being along on the ride. She said she never imagined songs that mean so much to her would resonate with so many people.
Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi adopted a baby boy, and are now a family of four. In other baby news, Lady Gaga and her fiancé welcomed a girl named Rose Bean Polansky. She was born June 9th via surrogate.

Johnny Depp’s first sculpture will be unveiled next week at an art fair in Istanbul. It’s about 6-and-a-half feet tall and is a half-human, half-rabbit figure called The Bunnyman.
