Dolly Parton has officially been laid to rest with a private funeral with immediate family on Friday. Her niece Lainey Parton confirmed the news with a tribute of photos with her “Aunt Granny”. “This is a really hard post for me to make. I wanted to wait until after my granny was laid to rest yesterday before I tried to put any of this into words . . . “Because she couldn’t have kids of her own, she always made us feel like we were hers. She loved us that way, and I’ll forever be grateful for that. Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum also shared her official obituary. He said his politics are pretty down the middle. “Human dignity isn’t Republican nor Democrat. Compassion isn’t left-wing and mercy isn’t right-wing . . . Our leaders on both sides of the aisle are doing an absolute [crap] job of trying to bring us together, y’all . . .”We may disagree, we may argue, may vote completely differently. But let’s try not to let the couple of things we disagree about forget the hundreds and hundreds of things we have in common.” Jelly also said he will always shake the hand of the sitting president out of respect for everyone who has served the country and he’s proud to have shaken President Trump’s.

Some parents have a hard time watching their kids grow up and leave home. Some go through a serious grieving process. Michelle Obama? Not so much. She has no problem with her daughters Sasha and Malia being on their own. She said, “Barack cried when they went to college and I was like, ‘Bye.’ Now, Friday nights aren’t wrecked with terror and fear about, ‘Where are you, where are you?'” She added, “I don’t miss ’em. I love them, I’m going to see them tonight for dinner.” Michelle also had plenty of quality time with the girls while they were growing up and knows them “inside and out.” And she’s proud of how they’ve grown since they’ve been on their own.
Taylor Swift donated $50,000 to a GoFundMe for a heroic mom named Ashley Taunton, who sustained life-threatening injuries from helping a group of teenagers on the highway during a rainstorm back in July. Ashley was driving on I-95 in Rhode Island with her youngest daughter when she saw three teens who were involved in an accident after their vehicle hydroplaned. Ashley pulled over to help them get out of harm’s way, but another vehicle lost control in the rain and came barreling towards them. She pushed one of the teens out of the way, and took the full impact herself. Ashley suffered multiple fractured ribs, a ruptured diaphragm, internal bleeding, and injuries to her liver and spleen. She’s undergone two major surgeries and has a long road of recovery ahead.
