Zac Brown Band performed at Fenway Park on Sunday night and surprised everyone in the crowd with a free cruise for two aboard Margaritaville at Sea’s new Beachcomber ship. That’s more than 37,000 fans. The giveaway is valued at more than $40 million and it’s the largest surprise audience gift in live entertainment history. Zac has a partnership with the cruise line, and co-designed the live music venue on the Beachcomber.
Jelly Roll just finished touring and is stepping away for a while amid his public divorce. During his stop in Salt Lake City last week, he told the crowd, quote, “This has truly been a lifetime experience for me. “And in a couple of nights, I go to Colorado Springs and do my last show for a year or two. I’m fixing to take some time off and heal. Thank you for the opportunity.” His show in Colorado was on Thursday, so he’s officially on hiatus.
A source claims that Travis Kelce has been talking about making a country album for months. They say when he sang a duet with Taylor Swift at their wedding was a test run. Another insider says that Taylor’s friends in the music industry think he’s underestimating how tough country music really is. Quote, “Celebrity might get you through the front door, but it won’t keep you on the charts . . . “You still have to earn the respect of Nashville. Garth Brooks announced a third city on his Blame It All on My Roots Tour. He’s stopping in Indianapolis, Denver, and now Chicago. Tickets go on sale Friday, and yes, they’ll all be the same price, which is $153 after fees. There is also a fall tour announcement from Wynonna Judd. It’s called the Hard Truth Tour and it’s in support of her upcoming album, “The Hard Truth”, which comes out October 2nd.
