Eric Church just announced that he will headline a brand-new music festival called the “Field & Stream Music Fest”.  Yes – like the magazine from years ago. Eric and Morgan Wallen actually purchased the company in January and have plans to relaunch it as a print magazine, website, and an apparel company.  And now this festival to go with it – running from October 4th – October 6th in Winnsboro, South Carolina.  Eric has three unreleased songs

1.  “Lovin’ Me Anyway” was supposed to be on Eric’s first album, and has still not showed up on any albums since.

2.  “Why Not Me” was written by Eric directly after the Harvest Music Festival tragedy in 2017.  He debuted this song just THREE DAYS later at the Opry.

3.  “Cause My Dad Did” is an Opry exclusive that he only played once in 2022.  But he hasn’t released new music since then, so some people think this song will be on his next album.

In 1991, The Highwaymen were touring abroad when they sat down for an interview. The first question that was asked “Why [are you] teaming up together?  At least one critic, probably more, suggested it’s because none of you can now fill the halls anymore on your own, and it takes four of you.” Kris Kristofferson first answered with, “How kind of you to point that out.”  Before Johnny Cash jumped in and defended them– “That’s not a true statement you made there.” Johnny went on to say that all four of them could sell out shows on their own, and it takes a lot of work to get all their schedules lined up to make it work. This is when Waylon Jennings came in with one of the most intense statements ever said in an interview.  “I tell ya, one more point too . . . if you ask another question like that, we’ll burn your home.” The Highwaymen all shared a great big laugh together.  The reporter did not.

Beyoncé released the track list for her upcoming album “Act II: Cowboy Carter” on Instagram.  In a picture meant to look like an old concert poster. There’s also a cover of “Jolene”, and the name Dolly P is on the poster . . . so it’s possible that Dolly appears on the track, or somewhere else on the album. And there appears to be a song called “Smoke Hour”, featuring. . . WILLIE NELSON. There’s no word on any other guests.  The album drops tomorrow.
