Parker McCollum and his wife Hallie are set to be first-time parents, with a son due in August. And he’s got a little bet going with Luke Combs right now. They golfed a few weeks back and were messing around on guitar when Luke played him a song he just teased last week. It’s called “The Man He Sees in Me”, about being a good dad. Luke told him once your first kid arrives, it’s hard NOT to write a million “dad songs”. But Parker claimed it won’t be a problem for him. “There’ll be some references to [my son], but I don’t think I’ll do that. I don’t think it fits in what I do.” Luke said sure, sure . . . and told him, “Call me in six months, and tell me how many dad songs you’ve written.” Parker says they’ve got an “ongoing bet” about it.
Good news, there’s another music festival that’s gonna take all of our money. This one is called “Country Calling Festival” and it takes place on October 4th and 5th in Ocean City, Maryland. On Friday, October 4th, the headliners are Eric Church and Jelly Roll. But you can also see Clint Black, Martina McBride, and more. Post Malone posted a clip of his new song with Morgan Wallen. He said, quote, “Let’s go with the real mix this time.” Morgan responded, quote, “This song is one of my favs in a long time. Proud to be on it [with] you bub!!” As fans might remember, this isn’t the first time it’s been teased. Morgan actually posted a stripped-down version back in December.
