Here is the best new music that was released over the weekend:

1.  “Looking for You” by Zach Williams and Dolly Parton.

2.  “Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get” by Chris Janson.

Jelly Roll played at the Houston Rodeo in front of more than 73,000 fans, and announced on stage that it was the biggest show of his entire life.  The Houston Rodeo posted the special moment on social media.  He started with, “My name is Jason ‘Jelly Roll’ DeFord, and I am from Nashville, Tennessee.”  He then pumped up the crowd, waving his arms. After that he got into a bit of a gospel cadence as he said, “and as of right this second . . . on March 6th of 2024 . . . at the Houston Rodeo, at the NRG stadium . . . This is officially the biggest show of my entire LIFE.” And the crowd went nuts.  He has an awesome way of preaching to his fans.  It seemed as if his own words hit him hard at that moment, as he got emotional on stage.  The crowd kept screaming as he fought back tears, and pounded his heart. Later on, he brought his wife Bunnie XO up on stage with him and she acted shy at first.  But when he gave her the mic, she immediately dropped the f-bomb, and Jelly looked horrified. If you didn’t know, at the Houston Rodeo, they have a strict “no cursing” rule.  But apparently, this does NOT apply to the performers, so they’re in the clear.  But that didn’t stop her from being a little embarrassed after.

If Luke Combs hadn’t made it in country, he might be bustin’ bad guys right now.  Did you know he wanted to be a HOMICIDE DETECTIVE? Someone reposted a clip from an old interview about it with Jimmy Kimmel.  Luke studied criminal justice at Appalachian State, and was only 21 credits away from graduating when he dropped out. He likes solving puzzles, so that’s why he thought detective work might be a good fit.  And it’s also a big reason why he likes writing songs. “It’s a puzzle that has no pieces.  So you MAKE the pieces, and then you have to put them together.”

You’ve probably heard someone cover a song, and thought, “They just can’t do it justice.”  But have you ever heard a singer live, who struggled to perform THEIR OWN SONG?  Carrie Underwood has. Carrie told “Rolling Stone” that she takes pride in putting in the work on her vocals . . . because since she was a kid, she’s always been bothered by artists who don’t sound like how they’re supposed to sound. She said, “[It’s] always so deflating.  I’d lose respect for them . . . I’d go to a concert . . . hear them drop keys, and I was like, ‘You can’t hit the notes!  Why’d you record them if you can’t sing them?’  That stuff is important to me.”

Elle King finallyaddressed her drunken performance at Dolly Parton’s birthday tribute at the Grand Ole Opry . . . almost two months later. She posted a video running up the stairs of a concert venue during a workout and said, quote, “To everyone sending me love because I’m human . . . I love you.  To everyone who told me to kill myself, I love you too.”  She also captioned it with, quote, “Oh no was my human showing #WWDD [What Would Dolly Do?]”  Elle also noted that she’s already talked to Dolly.

The upcoming Michael Jackson biopic will NOT gloss over the child molestation allegations against him.  But not surprisingly, it’ll take a pretty biased stance. A journalist who read an early draft of the script says the movie, quote, “wants very much to convince you Michael is innocent” . . . and it “goes to great lengths to minimize and downplay the actual claims and eviscerate” the accusers. None of this is surprising, given that the movie has the blessing of Michael’s estate, and his nephew Jaafar Jackson is playing him.

Vanessa Hudgens debuted a BABY BUMP on the Oscars red carpet.

Fitness guru Richard Simmons dropped a forgotten dance track, featuring the vocals of himself. The 75 year old released “Aerobique.” “I have a gift for you. Please share these with your friends,” The 80s icon wrote “We will put them up a few at a time so you don’t get tired of my voice,” “Love, Richard.” The New Orleans native had become increasingly secluded in recent years, prompting wild speculation, ranging from the rumor that his housekeeper was holding him hostage to the theory that he was transgender and living as a woman named Fiona.

“The Super Mario Brothers Movie” is getting a sequel in 2026.

Morgan Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time” now holds the record for the country album with the most weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200.

Benji and Joel Madden are 45.  Twins who rock the suburbs as Good Charlotte.  Joel Madden has two kids with Nicole Richie.  Benji is married to Cameron Diaz.

Johnny Knoxville is 53

Joey Buttafuoco is 68.

Bobby McFerrin is 74.  “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”.

Sam Donaldson is 90.  ABC news legend.

Jimmy Kimmel had Chris Stapleton on his show and he absolutely killed it on their “Wing It and Sing It” segment.  Jimmy explained that Chris used to love the show “Full House”, specifically John Stamos. So, the song they had Chris sing was sort of a loving tribute to his “hero”, John Stamos.  He had…
