Oprah Winfrey is leaving the Weight Watchers board of directors after being a member since 2015.  Of course, it’s no coincidence since she announced a few months ago that she’s been using a “weight loss drug”, like Ozempic or Wegovy. A Weight Watchers executive says Oprah will donate all of her stock to the National Museum of African American History and Culture.  It was valued at around $18 million, but since her announcement, the share price has dropped. It’s in an effort to, quote, “eliminate any perceived conflict of interest around her taking weight loss medications.”  It doesn’t sound like there’s any ill will though. Oprah says she will continue to collaborate with Weight Watchers and be an advocate for weight health and obesity issues.

Kate Middleton hasn’t been seen since undergoing abdominal surgery more than a month ago.  And earlier this week, Prince William skipped a memorial service for his godfather. Both of those things together had Brits thinking the worst.  But Kate’s reps issued a statement yesterday saying that she WILL NOT DIE.  Those weren’t their exact words, though. They said she’s “doing well,” and added, quote, “We were very clear from the outset that the Princess of Wales was out until after Easter and Kensington Palace would only be providing updates when something was significant.”

The Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville just recently opened their annual exhibit called “American Currents: State of the Music” that “offers a broad look at country music and its place in American culture over the past year.” It features some really cool artifacts from some of the biggest names in country music.  Here are a few of the big-ticket items worth checking out:

1.  Jelly Roll’s custom-made denim jacket that he wore to his first ever headlining show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.  All proceeds from that sold-out show went to programs benefitting at-risk youth.

2.  Billy Strings’ Deering Goodtime five-string banjo that he used when he was busking on the streets in Michigan as a teenager.  This dude is no doubt a musical prodigy, so that banjo has seen some magic in its day.

3.  Kacey Musgraves’ Mood Board.  Kacey created this while she was coming up with the lyrics to “Slow Burn”, which was the first track off her Grammy-winning album “Golden Hour”. There is also cool stuff to see from Taylor Swift . . . Oliver Anthony . . . Luke Combs . . . Martina McBride . . . Lainey Wilson . . . The War and Treaty . . . and Morgan Wallen. And, at “American Currents” you can also watch a video of all the most important moments in country music last year, plus recaps of the biggest songs and tours.  This is the eighth chapter of this exhibit and will run through February of 2025.

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are releasing a docuseries called “Friends in Low Places”, that gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the building of their new honky-tonk bar in Nashville.  It hits Prime Video on the 7th.But what’s sorta odd is he disabled the comment section on both Instagram and Twitter.  Apparently, it’s something he’s been doing because people will comment, quote, “where are the bodies”.  It’s a joke from a 2018 video Garth posted where he gave fans serial killer vibes.

Walker Hayes has been announced as the infield concert for the night before the GEICO 500 at Talladega, and fans aren’t happy. Walker seems to get all these sports gigs . . . from the NFL to the NHL to the NBA to Major League Baseball, and even this year’s college football national championship. But he’s NOT a popular choice.  As one person put it, quote, “Sorry this dude isn’t country, I grew up on country music and he is not a country singer.”  Another said, quote, “Guess everyone good was busy.”

Kacey Musgraves has been in the news a lot lately.  She’ll be the musical guest on “SNL” this weekend, plus she released a new song called, “Deeper Well” last week.  And now she has an even newer song and a huge tour to announce. The new song is called “Too Good to Be True” and it’s short but sweet.  The opening lyrics are, “Made some breakfast, made some love.  This is what dreams are made of . . . on a cloudy Monday morning.” And the Deeper Well World Tour that she just announced is going to be a big deal.  She hasn’t toured in over two years, and now she’ll have all this new music to share, so it’ll be worth checking out. The first part of the tour starts in Dublin, Ireland on April 28th and has a total of nine European stops, ending in London on May 14th.  The second part of the tour has 32 stops in the U.S. and three in Canada.  That starts on September 4th in State College, Pennsylvania and ends December 7th in Nashville. You can sign up for access to Kacey’s pre-sale tickets at DeeperWell.com.  And the pre-sale will open March 5th at 12:00 P.M. local time and run through March 7th at 10:00 P.M.

Maybe stop holding your breath on Florida Georgia Line getting back together.  Brian Kelley has a new song out March 6th called “Kiss My Boots”, and it sure sounds like it’s about Tyler Hubbard. They’ve been on an indefinite break since 2022, and the lyrics are all about airing grievances.  He hasn’t said it’s about Tyler, but most fans seem to think so. It includes lines like, “You’ve been throwing dirt on my name ’round this town like it ain’t small.”  And, “Here’s a middle finger to you through a song.”  He posted an audio clip this week, saying he’s been taking the ‘high road” but finally has “some truth to share.”  Then he posted a clip from the song two days later and offered some context. He wrote that while he was going through a “hurtful” and “confusing” time “a couple years ago,” his mental health coach told him, “The person with the highest emotional intelligence has the highest responsibility.”  So, he stayed quiet until it, quote, “all came out in a song.”

Hailey Bieber’s father, Stephen Baldwin, asked the public for prayers for his daughter and her husband, Justin Bieber — and as it turns out, something’s going on … and Hailey’s is not happy.  Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ that Stephen’s plea for guidance and well-wishes toward his daughter and son-in-law did not just come out of nowhere … and was related to something specific that’s going on with the young couple. Hailey is upset with her dad because whatever they’re going through is supposed to be private.

Emma Stone would like to be called by her real name, which is Emily.  When she became an actress she had to change it to Emma because there was already an Emily Stone. Jennifer Aniston is producing a remake of the Dolly Parton classic, “9 to 5”.  There’s no word if she will star in…

Jimmy Kimmel had Chris Stapleton on his show and he absolutely killed it on their “Wing It and Sing It” segment.  Jimmy explained that Chris used to love the show “Full House”, specifically John Stamos. So, the song they had Chris sing was sort of a loving tribute to his “hero”, John Stamos.  He had…
