JASON MOMOA is not getting back together with LISA BONET.  On the red carpet at the Oscars, he said, “We’re not getting back together.  We’re family forever.”  Which counters the previous rumors that he and Lisa were reconciling. Jason was later seen at “Vanity Fair’s” after-party getting pretty close with KATE BECKINSALE.  They were standing at a bar chatting.  They both had smiles on their faces and were very much into their conversation. Another said they seemed flirtatious . . . he put his arm around her a few times and even gave her his jacket to stay warm.

It remains to be seen if WILL SMITH will be punished for slapping CHRIS ROCK at the Oscars.  But yesterday, he took the first necessary step if he’s going to redeem himself, by apologizing directly to Chris. Here’s his full statement: “Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive.  My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally. I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris.  I was out of line and I was wrong.  I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be.  There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness. I would also like to apologize to the Academy, the producers of the show, all the attendees and everyone watching around the world.  I would like to apologize to the Williams Family and my King Richard Family. I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us.  I am a work in progress.” Now, is Will sincere . . . or is he just trying to head off any potential consequences for his actions?  Because the Academy Board of Governors had already condemned what he did, and said they were exploring possible ACTION against him. Sources claim that Chris did NOT know about Jada’s alopecia when he joked about her hair. A few more quick notes on this chaos:

1.  In a TikTok just days before the Oscars, Jada said she doesn’t “give two craps” what people think of her hair.

2.  Will didn’t seem to be too upset with himself at the Vanity Fair afterparty.  He even danced to “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It”.  He also had a heart-to-heart with TREVOR NOAH.

6.  Will might be in trouble with the union, too.  SAG-AFTRA called his behavior unacceptable, and said disciplinary action is possible.

7.  Comedians seem to be overwhelmingly on Team Rock.  And then, there’s TIFFANY HADDISH, who thought what Will did was, “the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”

While WILL SMITH was slapping CHRIS ROCK at the “Oscars”, NICK LACHEY was losing his mind on a female paparazzo in Beverly Hills. Nick was out for dinner with his wife VANESSA and another woman, when he saw the photographer filming them from her car.  So he went over, called her some and reached into her car and tried to snatch the phone from her hand.  As he walked away, he flipped her a double bird. This seems out of character for Nick, and he did apologize after the video was posted.  He Tweeted, “Last night, after enjoying a great dinner with my wife and our dear friend, the paparazzi harassed us as we walked back to our hotel. I clearly overreacted.  I’ve been in this game long enough to know that their antics are sadly part of the deal.  Stupid of me.  Done.”

Did you ever give a couple an expensive wedding gift . . . and then they divorce within a year?  You don’t dare say anything, but deep down, you want that gift back, don’t you? That’s how PEYTON MANNING feels about the retirement gift he gave TOM BRADY.  When Brady retired, Peyton sent him a two-page letter and a bottle of wine. And at a recent event, he said, “I want the letter back.  [He] got to read all these nice things, I want it back.  I want the bottle of wine back, too.”

New York University is going to honor TAYLOR SWIFT with an HONORARY Doctor of Fine Arts degree.  She will receive the honor and speak at their commencement ceremony at Yankee Stadium on May 18th. The commencement ceremony will include the classes of 2020, 2021, and 2022.  This degree will actually be Taylor’s first.  She never went to college. An honorary degree is given to individuals for their contributions to society.  Recipients don’t have to meet any type of requirements, like taking a test or writing a paper. They’re basically only used to honor an individual.  They don’t hold any real-world value outside of that.  So no, Taylor is not ACTUALLY a doctor.

CARLY PEARCE and ASHLEY MCBRYDE’s “Never Wanted to Be That Girl” is changing lives.  That’s what two girls at Carly’s recent concert in Albany, New York told her.  It started when she noticed one of them holding a sign. She was having trouble reading it, but she could tell it was important.  Carly finally asked her from the stage, what did her sign say.  And it said, ‘We were dating the same guy for two years.  Your album saved us.’  They didn’t even know about each other.  For two years they were dating the same guy and now they’re their friends.  Carly and Ashley will be joining LeAnn Rimes, Brandy Clark, and Mickey Guyton for the next “CMT Crossroads”.  It’ll celebrate LeAnn’s 25th anniversary as a country artist.  It premieres April 14th, exclusively on CMT.

MORGAN WALLEN’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” is now historic.  It’s been Number One on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart for 51 straight weeks, and that’s the most weeks EVER for that chart. It passed Luke Combs’ “This One’s For You”, and Shania Twain’s “Come on Over” . . . which were TIED at 50 weeks at the top.

WrestleMania 38 is adding a few familiar faces. The WWE’s annual event will welcome Brantley Gilbert and Jessie James Decker to the stage to sing “America the Beautiful,” with Brantley taking the reins on April 2 and Jessie James on April 3.

Betty White’s Carmel, Calif., home that she built with her husband more than four decades ago has hit the market for $7.95 million. The seaside spread was where she hoped to live her final days — but instead, she passed away in her Los Angeles home. Los Angeles was more accessible. White, who passed away in December — one month shy of her 100th birthday — purchased the plot of land with her husband Allen Ludden for $170,000 in 1978 to build out their dream oceanfront home. Standing on a cliff, they designed a three-story, four-bedroom wood and glass home of more than 3,600 square feet. They completed it in 1981. As fate would have it, Ludden died after a battle with stomach cancer, spending only a few nights in the newly finished home.
