Ashley McBryde has announced the postponement of September 25 & 26 shows in Portland and Seattle. The news comes on the heels of a social media post dated September 22 which shared that McBryde, while “enjoying her time in the beautiful state of Montana […] had an accident while riding a horse.” The note went on to say that Ashley was recovering with a few stitches and “some very sore bones” and promised updates as soon as they were available. In the note posted to Instagram, she recalled “A few of us went to ride horses on a ranch in Montana before the scheduled show on Wednesday.” And while McBryde mentions she grew up riding a “fair amount” she also does not consider herself an “experienced horsemen.” So, after a day of riding across suspended bridges, crossing chest deep rivers and climbing embankments with no problem, during the last leg, Jenny, the young mare became spooked. Eventually, McBryde, whose foot had slipped from the stirrup, had lost her center of balance, and with the horse “moving faster than [she] could stay on” McBryde ended up “going over” and landing on her head. A trip to the ER revealed the need for “staples to close [her] scalp” and a CAT scan showing a “pretty harsh concussion.” At the current time McBryde is “not able to walk without assistance” but promises that as soon as she’s “able to walk across a stage again, that is exactly where you’ll find [her].”
Brett Young has cut eight well-known Christmas songs with his favorite friends and vocalists to create Brett Young & Friends Sing the Christmas Classics. The new collection is scheduled for Oct. 22 and includes versions of “White Christmas,” “The Christmas Song,” “Silent Night” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” It was also released digitally on Friday. Maddie & Tae, Darius Rucker, Colbie Caillat and producer Dann Huff are among the other artists joining Brett on these holiday songs. Contemporary Christian singers Phil Wickham and Chris Tomlin are two more who share vocals. While the album drops in October, a television special featuring all of the listed performers will come later in 2021. CMT Crossroads Christmas: Brett Young & Friends is slated to air in the coming weeks. Currently he is headlining the Weekends Tour, with dates into December. Maddie & Tae and Filmore have joined him for the run.

Netflix announced the release date for the second season of Tiger King docuseries. The trailer shows a number of clips from the show’s first season and a synopsis reads, “the global hit Tiger King, which attracted 64 million households in the first four weeks after its March 2020 premiere, will return to Netflix for more madness and mayhem.” It will arrive just in time for the holidays on November 17.
