Buzzfeed put together a list of actors who turned down major roles for various reasons.

  1. Liam Neeson . . . Turned down the role of James Bond because his wife said she wouldn’t marry him if he took it.
  2. Drew Barrymore . . . Turned down the role of Sidney Prescott in “Scream” because she was sick of the “final girl” horror movie cliché.

  4. Sandra Bullock . . . She also turned down the role of Neo in “The Matrix”. The team was going to change the role to a female for her . . . but she wasn’t interested.
  5. Zendaya . . . Turned down playing Aaliyah in her Lifetime channel biopic because she said the production value wasn’t there.

If you check out THOMAS RHETT’s Instagram you’ll see shots of him fishing and hunting.  Y’know, the manly stuff.  But you’ll be hard-pressed to find him posing with the creepy-crawlies.  Somebody asked about his fears and phobias. He said, “I have a few . . . I don’t know if they’re strange fears, but they’re intense fears.  I really, really do not like spiders at all.  I can handle a small one, but anything a bit bigger than that I can’t really deal with it.  I don’t like roaches either.” So I guess if one of his three daughters needs a hero to remove a spider, they call their mom.  And if they have a scary nightmare, same thing. “I really don’t like to be in the dark by myself.  I usually sleep with the TV on when I’m sleeping by myself.”

BLAKE SHELTON performed at the Force 50 Foundation Benefit for Oklahoma Veterans last Friday . . . and clips from his show have made their way online.  There’s one of him doing an acoustic version of “Over You”.  In another, he shares the stage with GWEN STEFANI for their song “Happy Anywhere”.

KELSEA BALLERINI says “Miss Me More” was a key moment in her growth as a songwriter.  “[It] was the first one where I was talking about the mature side of a relationship.  It [was] not the fun, happy side, but the ‘This was difficult to get through’ side, where I had to fight to find myself after the relationship.”
