Justin Bieber thought it would be funny to post a sonogram, implying that he was going to be a father. But it was a generic photo from Google Images. He tried to keep it going by posting photos of Hailey Baldwin at the doctor’s office, and he captioned it, “If you thought it was April fools.” But then he gave up on it. Justin drew some BACKLASH from people who either can’t get pregnant or who have suffered a miscarriage. They don’t think that pregnancy is a joking matter. Tom Brady thought it would be funny to join Twitter and announce his RETIREMENT. Obviously, Brady was joking. Dr. Phil pretended that he was shaving his iconic mustache, but he didn’t. Katie Couric announced she’s returning to the “Today” show as an anchor, because “America is in desperate need of a sweetheart.”
The tabloids say JENNIFER LOPEZ wants a prenup with a “no-cheating” clause before she’ll marry ALEX RODRIGUEZ. Even though she doesn’t believe he’s cheated on her, a source says she’s, “fully aware that sometimes the fairytale ending doesn’t happen.”
KIP MOORE sure seems to enjoy being single. He’s always doing those surfing trips half way around the globe . . . and then there’s the part about being a country star with no ball and chain to weigh him down. But he turned 39 yesterday so somebody asked if he’ll ever be ready to quit the “bachelor lifestyle.” He said, “It’s not like I’m out doing really wild stuff. It’s just that my focus has been so hyper-driven on the music that even when I’m off the road I’m always back in the studio writing and creating. I think that’s been a big thing ’cause I know that I couldn’t give somebody else that time. And I’ve always been kind of a loner when I travel, and I like that so I knew that would make somebody angry so I’ve almost kept a wedge.”
Well, now we know what’s up with MICK JAGGER’s health. He’s got to have surgery to replace a valve in his heart. It’s reportedly happening on Friday, and he’s expected to make a full recovery. The ROLLING STONES are postponing their North American tour, which was supposed to kick off in about three weeks. The current plan is to hit the road this summer.
MAREN MORRIS posted a photo of herself on Instagram with long blonde hair. Cassadee Pope wrote, “Ughhhhhh queeeeeen.” Lucy Hale did a heart emoji and added, “Omg.” RaeLynn wrote, “Always” . . . Lindsay Ell said, “Yesss, damn” . . . and Lauren Alaina wrote, “Wooooooaaaaaahhhh.” Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild posted the flame emoji . . . Morgane Stapleton wrote “Holy babetown Batman” . . . and T.J. Osborne went with “Swoon.” Maren added more dates to her “Girl: The World Tour.”
WILLIE NELSON announced that the 46th edition of his 4th of July Picnic is being held in Austin, Texas . . . with tickets going on sale this Friday. The lineup includes Luke Combs, Alison Krauss, Jamey Johnson, Steve Earle, and some regulars like Billy Joe Shaver, and Gene Watson.
KEITH URBAN is nominated for Entertainer of the Year at Sunday’s ACMs, so he was asked what it takes to win. He didn’t go with “crapshoot,” which is the right answer. He thinks it’s more about the live performance . . . otherwise they’d call it Artist of the Year.
Sadly, we’re going to be seeing a little less of KELLIE PICKLER on TV. There will not be a Season Three of “Pickler & Ben”. As usual, it’s about money. The producers are concerned about the show’s long-term profitability. Episodes will continue to run though September.
