On Thursday (March 6), Rascal Flatts announced the details of their upcoming album, Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets, which is set for release on June 6 via Big Machine Records. The album includes 10 reimagined versions of the country trio’s hits, featuring guest appearances from Kelly Clarkson, the Backstreet Boys, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Carly Pearce, and other stars. “It was such an honor to create this project with such incredibly talented artists, it’s a pretty indescribable feeling having your colleagues and friends do your songs in such unique ways,” said lead singer Gary LeVox, while expressing that the album is the band’s way of thanking their fans for their support over the past 25 years. In January, Rascal Flatts shared the record’s lead single, “I Dare You,” which features a collaboration with the Jonas Brothers. The band launched their Life Is a Highway Tour in their hometown of Columbus, Ohio on Thursday night, and they hit Toledo on Friday. (Billboard)
