Ned LeDoux is featuring his late father Chris LeDoux on his just released new album, Safe Haven, 20 years after the passing of the country music star. The single, “One Hand in the Riggin’” features a vocal track from Chris that he recorded approximately two years before his death in 2005. “It was the last time he stepped foot in the studio and the last song he ever sang in the studio,” Ned shares. “As far as I know, this is the last thing that my dad ever recorded.” The album – LeDoux’s first since 2022’s Buckskin – also serves as a tribute to his late daughter, Haven, who died of a tragic choking accident at the age of two in 2019. The instrumental piece, “Haven’s Lullaby,” is his way of honoring her memory. “I believe that everybody in this world has a place where they need to go when things get a little too heavy,” LeDoux says. “And for me, music has always been that.” (People)
