Kelly Clarkson Reveals ‘Favorite Kind Of High’ On New Single

Kelly Clarkson recently released “Favorite Kind of High,” the third single from her widely-anticipated comeback album, Chemistry.

The song reveals the “high” of meeting someone special. “You’re my favorite kind of high / Rushing through me like a fire / And I need you to know / I say I won’t but I do / When it comes to loving you / I have no control,” Clarkson croons in the new song.

Clarkson also shared a live video for the track, which was recorded during a performance at Los Angeles’ Belasco Theatre last month.

In the video, Clarkson explains to the crowd that while some of her upcoming album is about her 2020 divorce from Brandon Blackstock, “I wanted it to be about the whole relationship.”

Clarkson had previously released two songs from her upcoming 10th album Chemistry, which is due out on June 23.

Chemistry is Clarkson’s first album in six years and also the first album since her divorce from her ex-husband. Her previous album, the Grammy-nominated Meaning of Life, was released in 2017.
