Kaitlin Butts orchestrated a heartwarming proposal for her best friend and tour manager Sophia Wells during her concert in Oklahoma City over the weekend. The country singer faked a wardrobe malfunction, bringing Wells on stage where her partner – and Butts’ guitarist – Adam Duran surprised her with a proposal. Butts shared the couple’s romantic journey to the crowd, recalling that Wells initially messaged Butts about how hot she thought her guitar player was, asking if she needed a backup singer so she could get to know him. “I said, ‘No, but I need a tour manager!’ ” Butts told the crowd. “And she’s been working for me for the last two years, and I’m just honored to have her … and I think she should turn around right now, too.” Duran was waiting behind her, down on one knee while holding a ring, with the crowd erupting in cheers as Butts joyfully announced, “She said yes!” Butts captioned her post, “10/10 recommend watching your best friends get engaged in front of 5k people.” (People)
