The country superstar praised her trusty Australian cattle dog, Pepper, who she said “honestly saved me” from stepping on the snake while walking barefoot with two friends. Sadly, the poor pup suffered a snakebite in the process of trying to protect her, though Musgraves shared that she “Got her to the vet quick” for a dose of antivenom. Musgraves shared a series of photos and videos of Pepper at the vet and getting an IV, commenting, “The bite made her lethargic.
