Dasha has been named as Amazon Music’s next Breakthrough Artist, joining prestigious past honorees Chappell Roan, Bailey Zimmerman, and Nate Smith. The service is promoting her with the release of an Amazon Music Original studio version of her cover of Gretchen Wilson‘s classic, “Here for the Party,” which the rising country star recently performed at Stagecoach. Dasha, who gained attention last year when her hit song, “Austin,” went viral, is thrilled about being chosen as the Breakthrough Artist. “This past year, I’ve been so lucky to find people who truly believe in what I’m doing and just want to help get the music out there” Dasha said. “Amazon Music really champions breaking the mold and being unapologetic with your art, which is exactly what I’m trying to do.” In addition to a series of high-profile live appearances – which includes her own headlining dates as well as providing support on major tours by Dylan Scott and Thomas Rhett – Dasha also has plans to release a new project later this year.
