Dolly Parton was a true businesswoman who spent the past several years working with a handpicked team to create a roadmap of projects that she wanted to see through even after she’s gone. Her longtime manager said, “Dolly worked up until the day she died. She loved seeing her dreams come to life, and loved knowing her work brought people joy. Many projects were in various stages of development . . .”If you see unreleased music, products, books, experiences, and campaigns launched through official Dolly Parton channels, you can have confidence in knowing that she placed her personal stamp on it.” Here’s a breakdown of what fans can expect in the coming months:

- Miley Cyrus paid tribute to her godmother. “The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour . . .”What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis.”
Miley previously mentioned in 2023 that August 25th is an important date to her. It’s also Billy Ray’s birthday.
- A new tropical storm forming in the Atlantic Ocean will happen to be named Dolly because it’s the next name on the storm list.
- Tennessee State rep Todd Warner says he’ll introduce legislation to rename Nashville International Airport to Dolly Parton International Airport. You can also sign a petition at Change.org.
- Did you know Dolly holds 11 Guinness World Records?
- Dolly and her husband Carl never had kids, but they had a name picked out if they had a daughter. They’d have named her Carla. If you didn’t know, she was diagnosed with endometriosis in the ’80s and later underwent a partial hysterectomy. Dolly told Oprah in an interview, “I didn’t have children because I believed that God didn’t mean for me to have kids so everybody’s kids could be mine, so I could do things like Imagination Library . . .”If I hadn’t had the freedom to work, I wouldn’t have done all the things I’ve done. I wouldn’t be in a position to do all of the things I’m doing now.”
- Besides the Imagination Library, there’s other good deeds over the years, including the Dollywood Foundation, a bald eagle sanctuary, and her donation of $2 million for Hurricane Helene relief.
Riley Green released the title track of his upcoming album, “That’s Just Me”, which is out September 18th. It’s a sad one about a lost love and he wonders if she ever thinks about him, like he thinks about her. Riley said there’s a lot of truth to the songs on the album. “If it’s not about something that actually happened to me, it’s about something that’s happened in my life. “I think that fans of country music always want to believe a lyric’s true, so I try to make it as real as I can.”
Garth Brooks announced a new stop on his arena tour: Orlando, Florida. He’ll perform at the Kia Center on September 25th and 26th. Tickets go on sale Wednesday. He’s still pricing every ticket at $154.50.
