Matthew McConaughey was a guest on “The Tonight Show” Wednesday night and performed”Choosin’ Texas” with Jimmy Fallon and the indie folk band The Last Bison. Matthew actually sang and played the mandolin . . . which he had to learn to play for his new movie, “The Rivals of Amziah King”. It came out in theaters today. Ella Langley reposted the clip of the performance and said, quote, “I may never recover from this.” Matthew gave an update on those “Yellowstone” spinoff rumors. He says, “Taylor Sheridan and I have spoken and have continued to have conversations about what (it could be). But nothing’s real yet.”
Colt Ford is on the mend after he and his crew were involved in a tour bus crash on their way to a show in Germany. He broke his shoulder and had to be rescued through a broken windshield. He posted a photo of the scene and said, quote, “The crew is a little banged up but we’re all still here.”
Luke Combs is taking his “My Kinda Saturday Night Tour” into next year. He announced 12 stadium dates, and kicks off April 3rd in Arlington, Texas. His openers are Treaty Oak Revival, Avery Anna, Shenandoah, and Wyatt McCubbin.
If you haven’t heard of Cledus T. Judd before, he’s been called the “Weird Al” Yankovic of country music. He just released a parody of Ella Langley’s “Be Her” called “Meet Her”. He says, “Dearest Ella. “Barbie” was a huge hit, so a sequel should be a no-brainer. But stories have been going around for several weeks that it’s not coming together because certain people want too much money. Those “certain people” include Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, director Greta Gerwig, and her husband/co-writer Noah Baumbach. They all want significant up-front raises, plus increases in back-end payouts. Margot made $50 million for both starring in the movie and producing it. Warner Brothers has made half a dozen offers over the last few years, and they’ve all been rejected. One was even supposedly for, “life-changing money.” The studio only has about four months to close a deal on the sequel before the rights revert back to Mattel. Margot and Ryan both received $12.5 million in salary for “Barbie”. Ryan is reportedly asking for $20 million for the sequel.
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is cutting ties with his alma mater LSU because they gave his number to another player. It was never retired, but Jayden says he “made it clear” he didn’t want anyone else to have it.
