Megan Moroney kicked off her “Cloud 9” tour last Friday. It doesn’t end until October so to prepare for the grueling schedule, she was intentional in HOW she trains. For starters, she says her glamorous outfits weigh between 10 to 15 pounds. So to make sure she can maintain stamina and an energetic stage presence, she wore a weighted vest to rehearsals. Megan would also sing while using a treadmill with a weighted vest. To help with recovery, she’d also use the sauna and do a cold plunge every day. Is 96-year-old Clint Eastwood retired? His son Kyle said he is, in an interview from November of last year that’s been circulating this week. Clint’s last movie was 2024’s “Juror #2”.
Country Radio Hall of Famer and Grand Ole Opry announcer Bill Cody is in critical condition in the ICU. He was admitted three weeks ago for heart and kidney failure, and is currently on artificial life support. His daughter posted an update asking for prayers. He’s in need of a double transplant.
Riley Green’s upcoming album, “That’s Just Me”, comes out in September, so naturally he extended his tour. He announced fall dates with support from Randy Houser, Kashus Culpepper, and Hannah McFarland on select nights. He also recently performed an unreleased song from the album called “Lookout Mountain”, and teased a collaboration with Alabama singer Randy Owen.
Tim McGraw is back with not one, but TWO new songs. They’re called “Song for America” and “Pawn Shop Guitar”. He says, quote, “It’s no secret that over the last few years I got sidelined with back and knee issues. “That time was challenging on so many levels, but one of the positive things that came out of it, aside from physically being back to 100%, was that it gave me time to reflect on my life and to write songs.”
