Cody Johnson loves to hunt, he even became a world record-holding hunter last September for taking down a massive Transcaspian urial ram. Cody said, “10 days deep in the Alaskan wilderness chasing grizzlies. Trip of a lifetime! Full video coming soon on the Chasing Legends YouTube channel.” Here are some of the mixed reactions: One person commented, “I understand efforts for population, etc. But, it is truly a beautiful animal that was hunted and this is NOT Mother Nature.” Another said, quote, “You shot a bear? Zero cool points dude.” One supportive fan said, “It’s so wild how bears trigger people more than any other animal. I blame Disney and Winnie the Pooh. People equate beauty / cuteness to the value of the animal . . .”And yet they don’t understand how hunting is a tool to maintain a healthy, balanced, ecosystem.” Another person added, “There are two hunting seasons for grizzlies in Alaska . . . It is a state sanctioned hunt which helps with the predator population, which helps with moose and caribou populations, etc.”
Megan Moroney was the maid of honor at her influencer best friend Natalie King’s wedding over the weekend. She performed her song “Wonder”, which she wrote for Natalie. Megan said, “I’ve played this song a lot, but I think that this might be the most meaningful time that I play it . . . “In the song, I’m telling Natalie that if you just hold out, you’re going to find someone who just shows up early, and you’re never gonna have to wonder how he feels about you. And I definitely think with Alex, you’ve found that.”
Alan Jackson delivered an emotional performance at the annual National Memorial Day Concert. He sang “Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning)”. He’ll perform his final concert this June.
Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour stop in Elk Grove, California fulfilled the wish a rancher’s wife made before she passed away. She had hoped to one day host a country concert on the ranch. The widowed rancher said, “I got this random phone call asking if we would like to have a Luke Bryan concert here . . . Got to believe [she] had something to do with this.”
