Miranda Lambert makes an effort to support younger female country artists, because she says she “didn’t really have that” when she started out in the early 2000s. “I had some great guy friends, but I came up [when] there wasn’t a lot of girls at the time. The ones that were a generation ahead of me were kinda doing their own thing, so I didn’t really have like that 3:00 a.m. meltdown call person. “I wish I did, and I think it would have helped me earlier on.” The generation of female artists before her include the likes of Shania Twain, Faith Hill, and Martina McBride. Miranda says the younger generation of ladies are so inspiring to her and she’s learning a lot from them. She most recently helped produce Ella Langley’s upcoming album, “Dandelion”, and co-wrote “Choosin’ Texas”.
Lainey Wilson says she was BROKE when she first met her now fiancé, Devlin “Duck” Hodges in 2021. “He thought I was doing a little bit better than I was . . . a few weeks after, my sister had to Venmo me a couple hundred bucks.” She previously talked about their first date in a 2023 interview. Willie Nelson turns 93 next month, and is showing no signs of slowing down. He announced his 156th album, “Dream Chaser”, which is set to come out May 29th. Willie will also hit the road for six concert dates.
Kenny Chesney teamed up with his manager and a few music executives to launch a new record label. It’s called Hey Now Records after his beloved boat that’s mentioned in his 2013 song, “Happy on the Hey Now (A Song for Kristi)”.
The new Disney CEO announced a live-action sequel to “Lilo & Stitch” will hit theaters on May 26th, 2028. “Incredibles 3” will come out a few weeks after, on June 16th.
