Almost everyone has a memory of a Disney movie that upset them as a child. Here are some highlights:
- Mufasa’s death in “The Lion King”.
- When Bambi realizes his mom didn’t outrun the hunters.
- Jessie’s flashback scene in “Toy Story 2”.
- At the beginning of “Up” when Ellie passed away.
- When the dog is shot in “Old Yeller”.
- The toy monkey scene in “Toy Story 3”.
- When all the kids turned into donkeys in “Pinocchio”.
An open casting call has been announced for the “Baywatch” reboot, and applicants are encouraged to avoid, quote, “overly revealing styles and costumes.” Have these people ever SEEN “Baywatch”???
Dolly Parton turns 80 years old on Monday. So, all kinds of throwback videos are popping back up. But this one might take the cake. It’s a story from her childhood where she talked about seeing a woman in town who completely stopped her in her tracks. Dolly said, “We didn’t go to town that much, but when I would, I would go to see her because she had these long red fingernails . . . she wore bright lipstick, she had peroxide blonde hair, wore tight clothes, short . . . and I thought, she is the most beautiful thing I had ever seen . . . “And my mother said, oh, she’s just trash. She’s just a tramp. And I thought, that’s what I want to be when I grow up.”
A Reddit user was exploring an abandoned nightclub in Russellville, Arkansas and found a piece of paper titled “Rules for Carrie Underwood.” And the list is very clear. No alcohol. Anywhere near Carrie. The rules say she had to be with an adult at all times . . . she could not go to the bar or dance floor . . . and was only allowed to drink Coke or water. There was no alcohol allowed at her table. And no drinks on stage while she performed. Even signing photos required adult supervision. The venue was called The North 40, and the rules were enforced by the Alcoholic Beverage Control. People think this means Carrie was under 21 at the time . . . which would have been before “American Idol” changed her life.
Lainey Wilson admits she’s feeling the pressure about her wedding . . . but in the best way possible. In a recent interview, she said, “Got a lot to do. I will tell you that. I got a lot to do. Luckily, she has more time in the new year to devote to it, but she’s still working on all the details. She said, “I’m spending a little time on Pinterest. I’m making me a little board.”
Megan Moroney just teased her new song “Wish I Didn’t” and it got the internet buzzing. In the clip, she mouths the lyrics, “I’ve heard all the horror stories, your graveyard of girls before me.” And then later on in the song, she said, “But I can also make it rain” . . . and fans were quick to connect that to Riley Green’s song with the same name. That’s not the only song raising eyebrows. Megan also talked about another upcoming track called “Who Hurt You?” She said she went “bar for bar” and told the whole truth so she wouldn’t have to answer any more questions about “the situation.” Well, regardless of who the songs are about . . . it’s solid marketing. Megan’s new album “Cloud 9” drops February 20th.
