Martha Stewart is lending her “entertaining expertise” to create cocktail recipes using Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre Still G.I.N. She already shared her first concoction called “Water Melly”. It’s an elevated take on gin and juice with fresh watermelon juice, gin, lime juice, cucumber bitters, and cane syrup. Martha says Still G.I.N. changed her perspective on gin. “I think gin has to have a superior flavor. It has to be smooth and not intrusive on your senses. Still G.I.N. is so flavorful and so aromatic. “It’s my go-to spirit now and I use it in cocktails where I might have used something else before. It’s just that versatile and good.”
Nate Bargatze officially announced yesterday at a conference that he’s moving forward to create Nateland, Nashville’s first theme park in almost 30 years.
Dolly Parton is about to open the SongTeller Hotel in Nashville. And guess what’s next? Truck stops. Next summer she’s opening Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop in Cornersville, Tennessee. It’s part of a brand-new partnership where her team will take over and rebrand the Tennessean Travel Stop location. Dolly said, “I have spent the bulk of my life on the road, and more specifically on a bus. All the years spent visiting greasy spoon cafes, truck stops, and roadside pit stops have given me an understanding of what travelers desire on the road.” They’re promising modern amenities and curated dining. Dolly just keeps going strong. She still wakes up at 3:00 a.m. every day. She says, “I don’t want to miss nothing.”
Zach Top already won the ACM for New Male Artist this year . . . he has three Grammy nominations . . . and now he’s up for five CMA Awards tonight. But the story of how he first signed with a label is awesome. Zach took a big gamble when he signed with Leo33 back in 2023. The label was brand new, and he became their very first artist. The head of the Leo33, Katie Dean, explained how eager they were to sign him. She said, “I’ve never thought about a man as much as I thought about Zach Top. In the end, Zach told Katie he chose Leo33 because “they had something to prove” . . . and he felt the same way. Looks like that paid off for everybody.
A new parody country song just dropped. It’s called “Cold Beer” and it’s a mashup of 50 different country artists singing the phrase “cold beer” over and over. Sometimes they mix it up and say, “Ice cold beer.” It’s from the “There I Ruined It” guys and their main goal is to ruin songs.
