Luke Combs recently explained what a “Nashville No” looks like in the country music business. Luke was talking about the early days of his career and how he was far from an overnight success. One of his first songs was “Hurricane” . . . which would eventually become his breakthrough hit. Sony turned down Luke initially He said, “They passed on me the first time . . . I always called it the ‘Nashville No’. Which is like, ‘We’ll be in touch,’ but really means, ‘We’re not going to be in touch.’ Just tell me no. I’d rather just hear that.” Luckily for Luke, they eventually came to their senses . . . and everything worked out great in the end.
Kacey Musgraves just posted online, “Hard launching a new relationship. I met this sweet girl in Oregon last summer and fell in love but it didn’t work out at the time. She is the horse that reconnected me with my love of riding again and in a bout of sweet serendipity, she popped back into my life . . .”She just made the trek to Tennessee to her forever home. Her name is Nava.”
If you go to Nashville and search the streets for police officers, you might run in to Morgan Wallen’s doppelganger. Some fan on Broadway spotted a cop who could easily pass as Morgan’s twin. The resemblance was close enough that videos of “Officer Wallen” immediately went viral. Most of the jokes centered on Morgan’s own checkered past with the Nashville police. The officer himself was a good sport when stopped for an interview. He laughed off the comparisons and let cameras get a closer look. But for anyone hoping to shoot their shot . . . a wedding band was spotted, and he confirmed he’s happily married. So, Morgan Wallen is working double time right now: Packing arenas on his “I’m the Problem” Tour . . . and keeping the peace on the streets of Nashville.
