Christie Brinkley released a memoir yesterday called “Uptown Girl”, and in it, she includes stories about her marriage to Billy Joel and his drinking problems.  They were married from 1985 to 1994, and share one daughter. Christie said Billy once drunkenly ate spaghetti from a pan on the stove, then accused the family of eating it and kicked them out of the house. “I hesitated to put that scene in the book.  But at the same time, it demonstrates what I was up against.  I was 100% dedicated to Billy, but I never told anyone about our issues, not even my friends. Christie also shared another time where Billy had disappeared all day and returned before dawn stumbling out of a cab and ill-tempered. She said she never wanted to end things, but that his drinking was bigger than the both of them.

Freddie Mercury got together with Michael Jackson in 1983 to work on new music together, but it all came to a quick end because of Michael’s pet LLAMA, Louie. They had gotten together at Michael’s home studio, and unfortunately their duets of “Victory”, “State of Shock”, and “There Must Be More to Life Than This” were never officially released.

Wille Nelson’s 92nd birthday was yesterday . . . and TODAY.  That’s right, Willie officially celebrates both April 29th and April 30th as his birthday. Willie told the full story in an interview back in 2018.  He said, “I was born before midnight on April 29th, but it didn’t get registered in the county courthouse until the next day, the 30th . . . So, I just do both days.”

Carrie Underwood shamed all of us this week by slipping into the dress she wore when she won season four of “American Idol” 20 YEARS ago.  She was 22 when she wore a flowy, green-and-orange leopard-print dress.  She brought it back because all the contestants were singing songs from past seasons. She looked great in it back then, and just as great when she brought it back out for Monday’s show.  She’s had two kids since then.

Keith Urban just sat down for an interview with “MuchMusic”, and they asked how he feels about “the current state of country” in 2025. He said he thinks it’s “great,” and noted that changing things up isn’t really a new trend.  Country has always been evolving, even way back in the 1950s. He used Patsy Cline as an example.  He said “prior to her, it was all fiddles and pedal steel.”  But she swapped out some of those “classic” sounds for things like piano, strings, and backing vocals. He said the “purists were outraged” then, just like they are now.  So, changing things up . . . and hearing people complain about it . . . isn’t exactly new territory.

Toby Keith passed away in February of last year, but his memory is still going strong.  Not only in country music, but in the world of horse racing as well. If you didn’t know, one of Toby Keith’s dreams was to get a horse to race in the Kentucky Derby.   And even though he’s not around…
