The NBA season started this week, and beer is EXPENSIVE at the arena. The priciest beer is in San Francisco and Boston, where Warriors and Celtics fans fork over more than $17 for 16 ounces. The Denver Nuggets are next, followed by the New York Knicks . . . the Brooklyn Nets . . . the New Orleans Pelicans . . . and the Dallas Mavericks. All those teams charge at least $12 a beer. On the other end, the Cleveland Cavaliers are only charging about $5.25 for 16 ounces. That’s the cheapest in the NBA. The Oklahoma City Thunder are next at just over $6 . . . slightly cheaper than the Detroit Pistons . . . the Atlanta Hawks . . . and the Indiana Pacers. There’s also the price of tickets, parking, food, and non-alcoholic beverages. If you take everything into account, the Warriors are the most expensive team . . . going to a Warriors game in the Bay Area averages out to almost $700 for two adults and two kids. The Knicks are the second-most expensive. The Pacers are the cheapest for a family of four, at just under $150. The Orlando Magic are the second-cheapest for a family.
At 60 years old, Garth Brooks didn’t have any tattoos, but he went to Ireland last month, and got all inked up. He fulfilled a promise he made to his daughter Allie back in 2014. She was turning 18 that year they were going to get tattoos together when he performed in Ireland. But that show was canceled, so he had to come through this time. “It’s my front left chest, it’s front and left back, and it’s a full sleeve. I have the five women of my life. My mom, Miss Yearwood, and my three daughters. “Having them inked on your skin right here by your side, the rest of your life [is] pretty frickin’cool. So my mom’s on my shoulder, and Miss Yearwood is right here on my heart.”
Reba McEntire has been dating actor Rex Linn for almost three years now. He’s her real-life boyfriend, and also plays her husband this season on the ABC show “Big Sky”. They’ve known each other since 1991 when they were in the movie “The Gambler Returns” with Kenny Rogers. They reconnected in 2020, when she filmed a guest spot on the show “Young Sheldon”, which he’s also on. In a new interview with “People” magazine, she says their first date was that January. But they didn’t really get close until the lockdowns hit. He was in L.A., and she was stuck in Oklahoma. So they didn’t see each other for three months. But they talked on FaceTime and Zoom four to five times a day. She says it helped them “create a bond and an intimacy” without getting physical. And she feels like that helped them really get to know each other. Luckily, they get to spend a lot more time together now. “He’s the love of my life. We’re pretty much inseparable.”
Chris Lane and his wife Lauren have welcomed their second child. Lauren posted an update on social media saying that a baby boy arrived on Sunday, and they shared video of him meeting his older brother Dutton, who’s 16 months old. There’s no word on the baby’s name.
Randy Houser and his wife welcomed a second son last month. His name is Harlan, but nicknamed Banks. “Answered prayers and hearts so full. We have spent the past 4 weeks soaking up every minute of family time with baby Banks. Thank you Lord for this sweet boy!” They also have 3-year-old Huck.
