It feels like this shouldn’t have taken as long as it did, but MIKE TYSON’s weed company is now selling edible gummies in the shape of an ear with a BITE TAKEN OUT OF IT. Obviously, they’re based on the 1997 WBA Heavyweight Championship fight where Tyson literally took a bite out of EVANDER HOLYFIELD’S ear. There’s no word if Evander’s getting a cut . . . or a bite . . . of the profits. But in a joint interview a few years ago, Mike brought up the idea, and he made it sound like Evander was figured in. He said, quote, “You might be in business because we’re going to make some holy ears. Some edibles [of the ear] that got a bite taken out of ’em.” And Holyfield responded, quote, “Well, I could do that.”
While some of the materials regarding BOB SAGET’s death have been permanently sealed, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office released its incident report on the matter, hoping to prove once and for all that his death was an accident. They say that Bob arrived back at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Orlando just after 2:00 a.m. on January 9th, following a performance. The valet says he didn’t notice anything odd, like slurred speech or balance issues. Bob even took a selfie with the guy. Bob was observed on security video walking across the lobby toward the elevators, then from the elevators to his room. He was by himself and he didn’t stop or interact with anyone else. Once inside the room, his door was never unlocked or opened until security found his body later that day. Police found no evidence of foul play, or of anyone else being in the room. Based on his injuries, they think Bob hit his head on something hard, but padded. The two most likely culprits would be the headboard or the carpeted floor.
Raising a family is tough no matter who you are and what you do for a living. And like anything, the more you put into it, the more it’ll pay off. That’s what TIM MCGRAW says he and Faith Hill did from the beginning. Quote, “Our careers were well established when we got married. So, we made a conscious decision that no matter what, if we were gonna start a family, that that was gonna be our first priority and everything else was gonna sort of find its place. “And I think that’s paid off in our kids and their lives and how we’ve given them as much of a normal life as we can in the situation that they’re in.”While we’re on the subject: Several cast members from Tim’s “1883” showbiz family joined him on stage during his concert last Saturday in Norco, California. They “helped” him perform “I Like It, I Love It”.
It’s funny how things work out. DOLLY PARTON’s announcement that she was “bowing out” of consideration for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, may end up guaranteeing that she’ll eventually get in. Everyone on the Internet loved that she rose above all the negativity, with many people calling it a “rock star move.” When she hinted about “putting out a great rock album in the future” . . . everyone said, yes, do that. And if she’d like some help, she can reach out to NANCY WILSON of HEART. Here’s what she said in an interview on Monday. “[Dolly’s] a class act to have done that. It makes me wanna write a rock record with her. I should give her a call. She can do anything. She’s written some of the best songs in our history. She can do it.” A big shot rock producer named Steve Albini is tossing his name into the ring. He reTweeted Dolly’s announcement, and wrote, quote, “Dolly Parton, do you like analog recording?”
Netflix is coming out with five animated DR. SEUSS projects for preschool-aged kids. They’ll be inspired by stories like “The Sneetches” and “Horton Hears a Who”.
KIP MOORE did a cool thing during one his shows at C2C Fest in London. He did a cover of the Tears for Fears 1985 hit, “Everybody Wants to Rule The World”. It’s interesting because the song sounds exactly the same, until his raspy voice comes in and then you KNOW it’s Kip.
We’ve been hearing rumors for a while that GARTH BROOKS and TRISHA YEARWOOD were thinking about opening a bar in Music City. According to the “Nashville Business Journal” they’re now “eyeing a honky-tonk at 411 Broadway.”
It’s official: CARRIE UNDERWOOD is releasing a new song on Friday, called “Ghost Story”. It’ll probably be on her next album, although here’s no word on a release date for that.
The next season of The Bachelorette will be double the fun — and double the drama. Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey were announced as the next leading ladies for the franchise during Tuesday night’s After the Final Rose special. The two women will star in the same season together as they search to find love. “After unwaveringly supporting each other through a devastating dual breakup in the season 26 finale of ‘The Bachelor,’ fan favorites and fierce women Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia will stand by each other’s side yet again as they set out on a journey to find love,” Both Recchia and Windey were contestants on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor. The two women were eliminated during the season finale after Echard decided to try to pursue a relationship with Susie Evans, who had left after learning the lead had been intimate with both Recchi and Windey. Echard had also told all three women that he was in love with each other them. 31 years ago – In 1991, Reba McEntire’s tour manager and seven members of her band were killed, along with two pilots, when their chartered plane crashed in the California mountains near the Mexican border.
