MIRANDA LAMBERT is already one of the greatest songwriters in country music history.  She’s been at it since she was a teenager, and she’s only 38, so there’s a lot more to come.  One thing that sets her apart is how real her music is. As you may know, “Gunpowder & Lead” was influenced by victims of domestic violence that she LIVED with as a kid.  Her parents offered their home as a shelter for women and children who needed a safe place. She talked about it in a recent interview.  Quote, “Junior high and high school I’d share a room with people needing shelter from a bad situation.  It was a safe, comfortable home we lived in but, there were some ugly things I was exposed to . . .”Because of having these women and their kids sharing a room with a daughter who just ran away with her mom trying to get out of a horrible situation.  “And I think that played a huge part in my understanding of how strong and resilient women can be, and also played a part in my songwriting.”

GARY ALLAN got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Molly Martin.  He posted several photos yesterday of himself down on one knee . . . plus a closeup of the ring.  It was at a beautiful outdoor place in Nashville called Cheekwood Estate and Gardens.  This will be Gary’s fourth wedding.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE is getting their own exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.  The items include their instruments, outfits, awards . . . plus the “Wheaties Champions” box they were on in 2014.  The exhibit opens January 21st and runs throughout the year.

 Remember back in October when KANE BROWN fell off the stage at his show in Memphis and injured his ankle?  Didn’t scare him at all.  He opened his recent show in North Carolina by stepping off a plank 30 feet above the stage . . . and was lowered to the ground “via a wire attached to a harness.”

  CHEVY CHASE was in Charleston, South Carolina for a screening of “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation”, and he took a detour to work at a chicken restaurant.

KIRK DOUGLAS’ estate just went up for sale . . . it includes a “walk of fame” with tons autographed garden stones from LUCILLE BALL to RONALD REAGAN.

A “Reading Rainbow” revival is coming next year called “Reading Rainbow Live”.
