The new “iCarly” takes place 10 years after the original Nickelodeon series ended, so the characters will be dealing with more grown-up issues. JERRY TRAINOR is returning as Carly’s brother Spencer, and he joked that it’s, quote, “basically an Andrew Dice Clay concert.” He added that the show won’t be SUPER inappropriate, but that there will be “sexual situations.” NATHAN KRESS, who plays Freddie, said, quote, “That’s been exciting for us . . . to just see where these characters from a kid’s show would be and where they are in their life now . . . but in a very realistic, non-glossy way.” (Reminder: You won’t be seeing Jennette McCurdy’s character Sam though. As we heard earlier this year, Jennette has quit acting and says she’s actually “embarrassed” by her past roles.) The “iCarly” reboot premieres Thursday on Paramount+.

New Mexico police officer named FRANK RAY made a life-changing decision back in 2017 to quit the force and pursue a career as a country singer. He was 33. It wasn’t random. Frank’s a skilled songwriter and performer who grew up in Texas and New Mexico and he’s been soaking up the local musical influences his whole life. He tells “People”, quote, “I was immersed in both worlds, Mexican music and the heyday of ’90s country. I fell in love with country music early on, and I started emulating some of my idols and just singing and performing every chance I got. “There hadn’t been a prominent Hispanic artist, whether female or male, in country music in a very long time. You look back at maybe Freddy Fender or Johnny Rodriguez, but there’s not been many.” His career picked up steam when a promoter saw him open for Keith Urban. He got him booked into the Texas dance hall and club circuit, and convinced local radio to play his music. But it was Frank’s wife who finally talked him into taking the plunge. Quote, “She was like, ‘You’ll kick yourself for the rest of your life if you don’t do it. I don’t ever want you to miss out on an opportunity and say you didn’t give it your all.'”
