TOM HANKS took to social media to announce that both he and his wife RITA WILSON are in Australia . . . and they both have COVID-19. He said, “We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive.” They will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. It’s a one-day-at-a-time approach.
Let’s hope Clare Crawley has some babysitting experience, because the list of contestants lining up to compete for her love on Season 16 of “The Bachelorette” is out — and more than half of them are at least a decade younger than her. ABC released the names, ages, and photos of all 32 suitors Tuesday, and the 38-year-old leading lady’s choices range from 23 to 42 years of age.
The ACMs are still on. They issued a statement yesterday saying they “remain committed to producing ‘The 55th Academy of Country Music Awards’ live from Las Vegas on April 5th.” They’re also closely monitoring the situation and will take “every precaution” to ensure the safety of everyone, from staff to attendees.
The ACMs announced the first round of performers. The show’s host Keith Urban is one of them. So is Miranda Lambert who will do her own thing, and will also join Lindsay Ell, Ashley McBryde, Tenille Townes, Elle King, and Caylee Hammack for their version of “Fooled Around and Fell in Love”.
CMA Fest also wants you to know they haven’t canceled . . . yet. Festivities are still set to go down June 4th through the June 7th in Nashville. They are “continuously monitoring” the coronavirus situation . . and are taking appropriate steps to ensure the festival grounds will be safe and comfortable.
