THE ROCK’s 18-year-old daughter SIMONE JOHNSON has officially joined the family business. No, not movies.  The Rock’s TRUE family business is WRESTLING. Simone has signed with the WWE and begun her training at their Performance Center in Florida. She says, “It means the world to me.  To know that my family has such a personal connection to wrestling is really special to me and I feel grateful to have the opportunity, not only to wrestle but to carry on that legacy.” Simone will be the first 4-generation star in WWE history.  Simone’s grandfather was the late Rocky Johnson, and her great-grandfather on her mother’s side was the “High Chief” Peter Maivia. Her mom’s side is the legendary Samoan family that has spawned about a BILLION wrestling superstars.

KELSEA BALLERINI has loved singing since she was tiny. But making a career out of it?  That didn’t even enter her mind until TAYLOR SWIFT did it.  “I grew up loving music, but I never knew that you could just choose to be a singer.  I was from a small town [near] Knoxville, so you grow up to be a vet or something that you see other people doing around you.  Until I saw a girl named Taylor move to Nashville, I didn’t know that I could do that.”

Somebody asked LUKE BRYAN what it takes to be an “American Idol”. He kind of divided into two parts.  The first one is attainable.  You have to work really, really hard for it and you have to learn how to fight your way to the top.  The other part?  Well, you either have it or you don’t.  “You’ve got to have the star factor, the sparkle in your eye.  It’s got to be God-given talent.  [If] you don’t come in there with that star quality [you’re] gonna have a little bit of trouble.” “Idol” debuts Sunday with Luke, LIONEL RICHIE, and KATY PERRY as the judges.

JASON ISBELL AND THE 400 UNIT will release their 6th album, “Reunions”, on May 15th. The first single is out now, and it’s called “Be Afraid”.  Jason and the band also announced a tour that will kick off June 3rd in Philadelphia.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD’s husband Mike Fisher might find himself in the doghouse if he doesn’t get her chocolate on Valentine’s Day. She says, “Chocolate’s every woman’s friend . . . in their time of need or in their time of happiness or in their time of sadness or madness, chocolate is my friend.”

Chris Young has beefed up his 2020 tour. The “Drowning” singer’s Town Ain’t Big Enough World Tour 2020 was slated for late May, with amphitheater and pavilion dates scheduled through September, but he’s now added five shows, starting with an April date in Ohio.

Scotty McCreery and newcomer Payton Smith will open Young’s 2020 summer tour when it begins on April 30 in Columbus, Ohio. Additionally, several hand-chosen Next from Nashville artists will join Young on the road.

PITBULL and BLAKE SHELTON have released the video to their song, “Get Ready” . . . and it might not be safe for work. It’s packed with women twerking in skimpy outfits and butt-baring bathing suits.

Disney is remaking Clue and Ryan Reynolds is attached to star and produce. Clue was a failure at the box office but became a cult classic when it was released on home video.  The Clue board game was created in 1943 and first manufactured in 1949.
