“The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” is no more. At least not this year. And it doesn’t sound like it’s coming back anytime soon. Victoria’s Secret’s parent company says it wants to “evolve” the brand’s marketing. The show has generated controversy over the past few years for being sexist and anti-feminist.
How does PETE DAVIDSON attracts such gorgeous women – it sounds like he puts in the WORK. He said, “When I’m in a relationship, I treat the person I’m with like a princess. I try and go as above and beyond as possible, because that’s what you’re supposed to do? If you’re in a relationship with someone, you’re just supposed to make that person feel as special as possible.” They tried to ask him about ARIANA GRANDE, but he said he’s not interested in making public statements about his relationships. All he would say was, “I hope she’s well. I hope she’s very happy.”
COURTENEY COX lost control of her dogs on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu on Wednesday, and had to chase them into traffic. A paparazzi photographer just happened to be nearby. He got out of his car and helped her round up the dogs. He also got some great video from his dash cam.
SAM HUNT was arrested early yesterday morning in Nashville and charged with driving under the influence and having an open container. Somebody saw a car driving in the wrong lane, so they called the cops. When the police tracked him down, he was still driving on the wrong side of the road and was also swerving in and out of his lane. They pulled him over. Nobody else was in the car. According to the report, he had bloodshot eyes and smelled of “an obvious odor consistent with alcoholic beverage.” He also admitted he’d been drinking “recently.” There were two empty cans of beer in the passenger seat. The cops said he fumbled around while attempting to give them his driver’s license, even though it was sitting in his lap. And then he tried to hand over his credit card and passport instead. They did a field sobriety test and his blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit. He was booked into jail around 6:30 A.M and then released 3 hours later after posting a $2,500 bond. He has a court date on January 17th. There’s a video of him walking out of jail after his release.
CHRIS STAPLETON’s “Tennessee Whiskey” has been the most-played song on the Waffle House jukebox for 177 consecutive weeks. It also helped him win four trophies at their second annual Tunie Awards on Wednesday. It won Top Played Country Song and Top Played Song . . . and Chris took home Top Country Artist and Top Artist. Just like last year, he accepted in person.
KACEY MUSGRAVES played a clip from her upcoming Christmas special on Wednesday’s “Tonight Show”. It’s her and FRED ARMISEN trying to sing “Silent Night” but getting interrupted by a maintenance worker.
Days of Our Lives is not going anywhere. The network has renewed its longest-running series for a 56th season. The pickup comes 10 days after word got out that the entire cast of NBC’s daytime soap had been released from their contracts. The cost-cutting move came during the annual renewal window between NBC and Sony Pictures TV. Negotiations for another season of the show likely got accelerated by fan outcry over the news of contract releases. Like any network programming, soaps have come under economic pressure amid declining linear ratings.
