LORI LOUGHLIN and her husband have been putting on a united front since they were implicated in the college admissions scandal. But some of Lori’s friends think they should UN-unite. A source says Lori is resentful because she was ready to take the plea deal that was offered back in April, but her husband talked her out of it, saying it would ruin both their careers. They also fought over whether they should take a private jet to their most recent hearing. Their lawyers told them not to, and Lori agreed. But he overruled her again, saying it would be a ZOO if they flew commercial.
The 2019 NFL season kicks off tonight when the Bears take on the Packers. So will you be GAMBLING on any games this year? A new survey by the American Gaming Association found 38 MILLION adults will bet on at least one NFL game this year. That’s about 15% of the adult population. About 7 million of us will place bets through a casino. Everyone else said they’ll just bet with their friends. And 75% of people who gamble said they’re more likely to watch a game if they’ve got some money on it. The survey also asked people who they think will win the Big Game this year. And the Patriots are the favorite, with 23% of the vote. Followed by the Chiefs, 8% . . . Cowboys, 7% . . . and Saints, 6%.

BRAD PITT made some changes when he split with ANGELINA JOLIE – like giving up booze. In an interview he says, “I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privilege.” Brad hooked up with an all-male Alcoholics Anonymous group, and went to meetings for a year and a half. He says, “You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard. It was this safe space where there was little judgment, and therefore little judgment of yourself. It was actually really freeing just to expose the ugly sides of yourself. There’s great value in that.”
THOMAS RHETT has written his share of hit country songs – but the most surprising part about that is how shocked he and his co-writers are when they finish one. He says, “Every time I finish a song, all the songwriters always look at each other and go, ‘Can y’all believe that this is even possible? Like, how did we come in here, not having one thought or one idea and we left with a song?'” He does use certain tricks to push him through – a lap around the bus or the studio, other times he’ll pace . . . and a shot or two of coffee also helps. Basically, whatever it takes to “change up the vibe and the energy.” He says the entire process is kind of a mystery, but extremely rewarding. “[I’ll] walk in and be like, ‘I don’t know what we’re gonna say,’ and then you say it, and then it ends up on a record, and then it ends up on the radio, and then you hear people singing it. It’s like the most full-circle, amazing thing ever.”
