Last month, we heard that MATTHEW PERRY had surgery to fix a HOLE in his stomach. Officially, it was a “gastrointestinal perforation.” On Friday, he said he spent the entire summer – 3 months in the hospital. Matthew didn’t say whether or not he’s out yet, or what shape he’s in. A “gastrointestinal perforation” is basically a ruptured bowel, and the condition can be life-threatening.
Apparently, some rich people in New York City have started hiring nannies . . . for THEMSELVES. They want someone who can do things like help them get dressed and ready in the morning, do their nails, massage them, and drive them around. The head of a nanny staffing company in New York summed it up, “Wealthy families have a certain way of looking at things.” They really do.
On Thursday, JUSTIN BIEBER and HAILEY BALDWIN were spotted going into a courthouse in New York City. People assumed they were getting a marriage license. But now, sources are saying they got MARRIED. After the story broke, Hailey Tweeted, “I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I’m not married yet!” Then she deleted it. A so-called “friend” says Hailey meant that she doesn’t consider herself married until she and Justin have a RELIGIOUS ceremony, which is coming. Thursday’s was just a civil thing. Oh, and: No prenup.
RICHARD GERE is about to become a dad again at 69 with his 35 year old wife Alejandra Silva. She posted a picture of her baby bump receiving a blessing from the DAILA LAMA. This will be the second child for both of them. Gere and his ex-wife Carey Lowell have an 18-year-old son, Homer James Jigme Gere. And Silva has a 5-year-old son from a previous marriage.
RASCAL FLATTS had to cancel a couple of shows in California over the weekend because GARY LEVOX was sick. Sounds like it was laryngitis.
BRETT ELDREDGE brought a little girl on stage to help him sing “Mean To Me” at his show on Saturday in Kansas City, Missouri. He posted a clip on Instagram and wrote, “She was crying and singing every word all night in the crowd so I brought this sweet soul up on stage and she melted all of our hearts.”
ERIC CHURCH released the lyric video to his song “Monsters”. It’s one of the tracks on his “Desperate Man” album, which is due out October 5th.
JENNIFER NETTLES has joined the cast of the movie “Harriet” . . . which is about abolitionist Harriet Tubman. It also features “Hamilton” star Leslie Odom Jr.
Somebody posted a clip of the crowd doing some line dancing during KACEY MUSGRAVES’ show in Atlanta. She loved it so much she reTweeted it and wrote, “Best thing I’ve ever seen.” There’s also a clip of her helping her husband RUSTON KELLY perform his song, “Just for the Record”. It was during his show last Friday in Nashville.
BLAKE SHELTON plans to open an Ole Red bar and restaurant in Orlando, Florida in 2020. It’ll be his fourth. The original one is in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, and the Nashville location opened earlier this year. The one in Gatlinburg, Tennessee is due to open next spring.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD let it all out during an interview on “CBS Sunday Morning”. She revealed that she went through three miscarriages in the past two years. She had two in 2017, and one earlier this year. As we know, she didn’t give up. She announced last month that she’s pregnant again, and she’s feeling good. But the ups and downs of the past two years were tough to take. Also during some lighter moments from the interview, they visited her hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma and they talked to her mom who admitted that she had low expectations on the whole “American Idol” thing. She was just hoping the show would give Carrie “face recognition” so she could get job at a news station in Tulsa, Oklahoma. You may recall Carrie majored in journalism in college hoping to someday work in TV news.
Nickelodeon is moving forward with a revival of Blue’s Clues. The updated series Nickelodeon is moving forward with a revival of Blue’s Clues. The updated series will star Joshua Dela Cruz who starred in the Broadway production of Aladdin. The new series has already been picked up for 20 episodes and will be similar to the old show. “In Blue’s Clues & You, Blue invites viewers to join her and the live action host on a clue-led adventure and solve a daily puzzle.”
