“WKRP in Cincinnati” was a great show, but there never actually WAS a WKRP in the city of Cincinnati. But that’s about to change. D.P. McIntire runs a nonprofit that’s been using those call letters for a low-power station in Raleigh, North Carolina since 2015. Before that, they’d been used in Texas, Georgia, and Tennessee. But McIntire recently made a deal to sell them to someone who’s FINALLY bringing WKRP to the city that made those letters famous. He says, quote, “I cannot, by contract, tell you when. I cannot tell you who. But I can tell you, direct to the camera, WKRP, after 48 years, is coming to Cincinnati.” He adds, quote, “It will be radio. But that’s all I can tell you at this time.”

Everybody around you is there to make sure you’re good, and you’re happy, and you have everything you need, and I feel like you can start to . . . lose your roots real fast, you know. “So I think faith is the only way to keep you grounded.”

More specifically, his song “Between the Ditches”. “So I got home, and I’m really sad about it, and I was trying to write a song to encapsulate the level of sorrow I feel. Then I realized I already had . . . so I was going to sing a snippet of this song for you.”
