Megan calls it her “ultimate hype track”. So it’s only fitting that for the show’s 20th anniversary, Megan recorded a cover of the song. In other “Hannah Montana” news, Starbucks released a special drink that fans can order through their app. It’s strawberry açaí with raspberry cold foam and raspberry syrup. It’s available until April 5th. When an O.G. fan pointed out that Hannah hated raspberries on the show, Starbucks responded that, “Miley’s made peace with raspberries 20 years later.”
Bluegrass artist and country singer Ronnie Bowman passed away Sunday from injuries he sustained from a motorcycle accident on Saturday in Ashland, Tennessee. He was 64. Ronnie was the vocalist and bass player for the Lonesome River Band from 1990 to 2001, and he also had five solo albums. He even won Song of the Year at the 2016 ACM Awards for co-writing Chris Stapleton’s “Nobody to Blame”.
Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” logs a fourth week at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. So you know what that means? She officially breaks Taylor Swift’s (very specific) record. “Choosin’ Texas” now has the most weeks ever spent at #1 on the Hot 100 for a song by a woman that also hit #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
ESPN tapped Thomas Rhett to do this year’s cover of “Georgia on My Mind” in honor of the Masters. The tournament kicks off April 9th at Georgia’s Augusta National. Rhett is quite the avid golfer. Bill Cosby just took a huge loss in court today … a jury reportedly awarded $19.25 million to Donna Motsinger after she alleged the comedian drugged and raped her in 1972.Jurors reportedly found Cosby liable for sexual assault and sexual battery while awarding Motsinger $17.5 million for past mental suffering, and $1.75 million for future suffering.
Former child star Zachery Ty Bryan has been sentenced to 19 months in prison while currently serving time behind bars in a California jail. The Home Improvement alum appeared virtually for his sentencing after previously admitting to three probation violations during a Dec. 29 hearing, Bryan was initially scheduled to be sentenced earlier in March, but the hearing was delayed when he was sentenced to serve 16 months in jail for a different case on Feb. 23. After Bryan completes his sentence in California, he will be extradited to Oklahoma, where he is facing “up to five years” in prison in connection to an October 2024 DUI arrest
