Keith Urban is embracing his inner yacht rocker. He announced that he has a covers album on the way. “There is one original on the record. It’s a thematic record . . . yacht rock songs. You think I’m kidding? I’m not kidding.” Keith gave fans a taste of what to expect. He played a cover of Stephen Bishop’s “On and On”. There isn’t a release date for the cover album yet. Keith was also honored by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with the Randy Owen “Angels Among Us” Award. He’s been a supporter for more than 20 years, and began visiting the hospital in 1998.
Tim McGraw will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame this fall. The Class of 2026 also includes songwriter Paul Overstreet and the bluegrass duo, The Stanley Brothers. Tim says, quote, “I don’t know if I ever thought it would happen in my lifetime.” Kenny Chesney also posted a message congratulating Tim on the news.
Luke Combs kicked off his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour on Saturday in Las Vegas. He set an attendance record at Allegiant Stadium with 70,921 fans. He broke the record previously set by the boxing match between Canelo Álvarez and Terence Crawford, which was 70,482.
Florida Georgia Line reunited onstage Thursday night at a surprise bash to honor Jason Aldean and his 31 career #1 hits. They performed a cover of his song, “You Make It Easy”. There’s no word if we can expect more from this reunion. But Tyler Hubbard told fans, quote, “It feels good to be here with my brother.”
Actress Brenda Song is taking major turbulence with Alaska Airlines. The 37-year-old star blasted the airline for wrecking a family getaway alongside fiancé Macaulay Culkin, claiming the carrier split her from her sons — Dakota, 4, and Carson, 3 — despite booking first-class seats together months in advance. She said their seats were “given away” without any warning as the family planned to celebrate Dakota’s birthday.
