Megan Moroney and Ella Langley just pulled off something no pair of female country artists has ever done before. Megan’s new album “Cloud 9” debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. And now, Ella’s big hit “Choosin’ Texas” just climbed back to the top of the Hot 100. Which means they are the first two women in country music history to hold the #1 album and #1 song across all genres in the same week. It’s also a first for both artists personally as well. “Cloud 9” is Megan’s first #1 album . . . and “Choosin’ Texas” is Ella’s first #1 on the Hot 100.
Brantley Gilbert just became an investor and equity partner in Real American Beer. Which is Hulk Hogan’s beer brand. And Brantley’s first move was helping launch a brand-new product called “RAB ZERO.” It’s a non-alcoholic beer that’s trying to taste like the real thing. Brantley has a personal reason for getting involved. He’s been sober for 14 years and wanted a non-alcoholic option. He said, “This is for people who want to show up, be part of the moment, and enjoy the same experiences with friends and family while staying true to their lifestyle.” The launch also includes a partnership with the United Service Organizations. The company will donate one dollar from every case sold to support active-duty service members and their families.
Luke Combs has played sold out shows all over the world. But there is one moment he wishes he could redo. Back in 2023, when Luke was touring in Australia, he missed the birth of his son Beau. The tour had already been booked and sold out before Luke and his wife even knew they were expecting. That meant there was no way to cancel the shows once the timing became clear. Luke said, “My whole identity is that, no matter what, I’m gonna prioritize my wife and my children over my job.” But then once he realized he couldn’t keep his promise, he was devastated. Now Luke says that he dreads the moment his son asks why he was there for his brothers’ births, but not his. But Luke says the experience helped him set clearer boundaries between family and touring.
Cody Johnson kicked off the week releasing a brand-new song called, “Blame Texas”. The song just appeared on streaming services earlier this week. It’s his first brand-new solo release since the deluxe version of “Leather” back in 2024. Cody said “We had so much fun cuttin’ this one in the studio, I couldn’t keep it to myself. Had to let y’all have it.” The best part of the song is when Cody chooses George Strait over Elvis. Cody has already confirmed a new album is on the way, and he’ll have collaborations with Luke Combs and Brothers Osborne.
