If you love country music, Milwaukee is the place to be this summer. Summerfest just announced its 2026 lineup. Garth Brooks will headline alongside Post Malone, Ed Sheeran and Megan Moroney. Garth will kick things off with two big nights on June 16th and 17th at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater. You know, just the best-selling solo artist in U.S. history, no big deal. And you can also see Jelly Roll . . . Tyler Hubbard . . . Cody Johnson . . . Jess Murph . . . Tucker Wetmore . . . Sam Barber . . . Nate Smith, and many more. Summerfest kicks off on June 16th . . . and will end on July 4th.
Scottie Scheffler is the #1 ranked golfer on the planet. And apparently, he’s also a huge country music fan. He was raised in Dallas, and played his college golf at the University of Texas. Scottie is an official ambassador of Turtlebox, which is a speaker company . . . and they released his playlist on Spotify called the “Scheffler Shuffle.” And out of 54 songs, more than 30 are country or southern rock. We’re talking George Strait, Flatland Cavalry, Parker McCollum, Cody Johnson and Brooks & Dunn, to name a few.
Megan Moroney’s song “6 Months Later” twill be on her new album “Cloud 9”. And believe it or not, the song came to life on a yacht. She said the plan was to write a bunch of songs on a trip last year. Instead, they only wrote one. Megan said, “We only wrote ‘6 Months Later’ that trip because it was so good that anything else we tried to start, I was like, ‘It’s not as good.”‘ But the tempo was too slow at first. Quote, “When we wrote that, we went on a run, and the tempo was too slow, and I wanted to be able to run to ‘6 Months Later’ . . . So now the tempo you hear on the radio is running approved.”
It’s official. Jelly Roll is becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry on March 10th . . . and Lainey Wilson will handle the induction honors. Jelly first found out back in December when he was on Joe Rogan’s podcast. And it was Craig Morgan who surprised him with the invitation in a video message. Craig is one of Jelly’s biggest musical influences. And now Craig will also be performing when Jelly gets inducted . . . along with Ernest and Leanne Morgan. A portion of ticket sales will benefit the Judge Dinkins Educational Center, which is a cause close to Jelly’s heart.
