Carrie Underwood has returned to the judges’ table on “American Idol” for Season 24, alongside Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. She said this about her judging process, “Sometimes I get in trouble from people like, ‘How dare she say that it wasn’t perfect?’ I just want everybody to learn . . . and hearing you are amazing all the time is not going to get you anywhere.” Carrie says her critiques come from encouragement, not negativity.
Lainey Wilson has kept herself busy. It was just announced that Netflix has officially acquired the new documentary “Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool”. It drops on April 22nd. The documentary follows Lainey during a major turning point in her career and will show what it really takes to stay true to yourself in country music. It captures Lainey on the road, on stage . . . and fans are sure to love all the behind-the-scenes footage. Dierks Bentley has spent the last two decades zig-zagging across the country as a tour headliner. But this year, he’s taking a step back and joining Luke Combs as an opener on select dates of the My Kinda Saturday Night Tour. Here’s what Dierks said about it, “It’s kind of fun to get a chance to go back and do that again.” Dierks loves Luke’s music and is looking forward to experiencing the tour from a different perspective. Luke’s tour kicks off in March and runs through June.
Two more artists have dropped out of the 2026 Rock the Country Festival. Morgan Wade and Carter Faith are no longer part of the lineup. And neither has shared an official reason for stepping away. But in a TikTok comment, a fan told Faith they were disappointed she was performing at the festival . . . and Faith replied, “I’m not anymore!” Their exit comes just days after Ludacris also dropped out. His team called his original booking a “mix-up.” The festival is headlined by Kid Rock and will feature Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Miranda Lambert, and more.
