Miranda Lambert is officially part of this year’s Daytona 500 festivities. She’ll be taking over the pre-race concert. The big announcement dropped on Sunday during the Eagles and 49ers game. Speedway president Frank Kelleher said, “To have this level of talent, with an artist such as Miranda Lambert performing our pre-race concert, adds an incredible amount of energy for the 68th running of the Daytona 500.” He went on to say, “Her powerhouse vocals and passion for music are the perfect mix to represent the prestige of this event.” The Daytona 500 takes place on February 15th and will be aired on Fox.
History just got made in country music. The Recording Industry Association of America confirmed that Chris Stapleton’s song “Tennessee Whiskey” is the first-ever country song to go Double Diamond.
2025 was a massive year for Morgan Wallen, but he’s not showing any signs of slowing down in 2026. “I’m The Problem” has climbed back to #1 on the Billboard 200, selling about 85,000 equivalent units last week. The album originally dropped on May 16th and has now spent 13 non-consecutive weeks at #1. It also ends Taylor Swift’s long run at #1 with her album “The Life of a Showgirl”. Morgan now has 42 total weeks at #1 across his career . . . which puts him in 8th place all time.
