Martha Stewart has been struck three times by lightning, and she’s still here to laugh about it. The first time, she was doing dishes when she SAW the lightning enter her pipes, then come surging out of her faucet. She says it hit her in the stomach and knocked her to the floor. The second time, she got zapped in the EAR when a bolt of lightning came through her phone. The third time, she was in her garden.
“The Masked Singer” returns January 7th with new costumes that include an eggplant. There will also be an Ozzy Osbourne tribute night, and themed nights for “Twilight”, “Star Trek”, and the Spice Girls.
Bunnie Xo is keeping her Christmas tradition rolling with a brand-new holiday video, and this one stars Jelly Roll as a grumpy reindeer. Fans look forward to these every year. In the past she did a dirty twist on Mariah Carey’s classic “All I Want for Christmas (Is to Be Screwed)” . . . and her “12 Days of Rizzmas” was also funny. This year, Bunnie dropped a new version of the old classic, “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” with comedian Matt Mathews in the mix. The video is pretty wild. But the big moment is when Jelly shows up as a crabby Rudolph driving the sleigh that sends grandma flying. Bunnie even shared behind the scenes of Jelly in a reindeer costume. And he doesn’t look too happy about it.
Lainey Wilson is kicking off the holidays with an unexpected collaboration. She just dropped a new video for her version of “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” . . . and she’s singing with the legend himself, Bing Crosby. Bing passed away in 1977, but he’s still as big as ever around the holidays. The video features animated versions of both Lainey and Bing . . . which gives it that classic Christmas feel with a modern twist. The song comes from her album, “Peace, Love, & Cowboys (Holiday Edition)”. Lainey has been everywhere this season. She performed a holiday medley during the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade . . . and she’s set to take the Grand Ole Opry stage on December 10th for their Christmas show. And now she gets to do a holiday duet with Bing? That’s cool.
Megan Moroney shared some of the holiday traditions she grew up with. She says her favorite part is Christmas Eve, when her family sits down to watch “It’s a Wonderful Life”. It’s the black and white version, because her dad insists on it. And then he makes chocolate chip cookies. That all sounds normal . . . but here’s where it gets a bit odd. Megan said, “And then on Christmas Day we have a lobster.” I mean, most families make cinnamon rolls. But the Moroneys are breaking out seafood. If you didn’t know, Megan was born in Savannah, Georgia. So now I’m wondering . . . she said, “a lobster” . . . as in ONE? Is it just a family lobster that they all split? Megan’s doing pretty well for herself, so shouldn’t that mean they all get one? Holiday movies, cookies, and lobster. One of these things is not like the other.
Kenny Chesney just shared a detail about his tribute to Jimmy Buffett at the 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Turns out Jimmy was actually on stage with them, at least in spirit. Jimmy passed away in 2023. Kenny said that while they were backstage, Mac McAnally showed him a small urn that he was hiding inside his coat pocket. And they were Jimmy’s ashes, given to him by Jimmy’s daughter Savannah. Kenny then performed “Come Monday” with James Taylor, and Mac. Before they sang, James Taylor told the crowd, “We’re three old friends of Jimmy Buffett, and we miss him.” Kenny has talked a lot about how much Jimmy meant to him. So, it’s awesome to know that even after he passed, Jimmy still found a way to join the party.
