Chris Young stunned fans with an act of generosity after a fierce storm derailed his concert, leaving many ticket holders unable to make the show. Instead of collecting his paycheck, Young forfeited his entire earnings for the Nov. 29 show in Wisconsin, and he went a step further by refunding those who could not attend.
Quentin Tarantino ranks “Black Hawk Down” as the best movie of the 21st century. It’s followed by “Toy Story 3” at #2 and “Lost in Translation” in third.
Willie Nelson is tired of the internet trying to kill him off . . . so he posted a few photos on Instagram of himself snoozing on a couch with the caption, “If you believe those A.I. death stories one more time.” For months, fake A.I. generated posts have been popping up claiming he collapsed . . . landed in the hospital . . . or worse. Some even used bogus photos of Willie hooked up to machines. None of it was real. Earlier this year, he had to cancel an Outlaw Music Festival stop because a storm wrecked his gear . . . but rumor mills turned that into a health scare too. Unfortunately, A.I. has gotten so convincing that it’s hard for fans to know what’s true anymore. But thankfully, Willie’s still here . . . still laughing . . . and very much alive.
Morgan Wallen’s fans showed up in a big way this year, and the numbers prove it. Morgan leads every artist with twelve songs in the Top 100. That’s not just for country music . . . that’s in all genres. Jis album “I’m The Problem” was also the most listened to album of 2025. This is of course after the CMA Awards, where Morgan didn’t win a single category.
On the “Today” show Savannah Guthrie accidentally called Rex Linn Reba’s “husband.” Reba raised an eyebrow and said, “Now wait a minute. Before everybody has a conniption fit at home, we’re just engaged.” Rex was right there in the studio looking a little confused . . . but then he smiled once Reba cleared things up. Rex proposed on Christmas Eve 2024, so they kept it secret for a while. But she wants to make it clear that they’re not married yet.
There have been some great country music songs that have made the soundtrack of Stranger Things. Here they are:
- “The Bargain Store” by Dolly Parton . . . Season 1, Episode 6
- “Islands in the Stream” by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton . . . Season 2, Episode 2
- “Green, Green Grass of Home” by Bobby Bare . . . Season 2, Episode 5
- “She Got You” by Patsy Cline . . . Season 3, Episode 1
And shout out to “Blue Bayou” by Roy Orbison in Season 2, Episode 8. It’s country adjacent.
