The lineup for the CMA Awards just keeps growing. The first list of performers included: Luke Combs, Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, Zach Top, Megan Moroney, Shaboozey . . . and many more. But now they’ve confirmed even more – Miranda Lambert . . . Chris Stapleton .. . . Riley Green . . . Kenny Chesney . . . and Kelsea Ballerini will all be performing. Chris Stapleton could make history at this year’s CMAs. He’s sitting at 19 career CMA wins and needs just one more to pass Brooks & Dunn for the all-time record. Unfortunately, Chris could also break his streak of nine Entertainer of the Year nominations without a win. But could Chris really be shut out for the TENTH time? “Country Music’s Biggest Night” airs live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday.
Lainey Wilson was asked the question of who is most likely to own a pet peacock. She said, “Miranda Lambert. Honestly, she probably does have a couple peacocks. I hadn’t been out to her farm in a minute, but I wouldn’t be surprised.” Then she was asked what country artist would be the first to go streaking. She said, “Zach Top. [He’s] got a wild side. I can absolutely see his naked butt running across something.” When asked what country artist would do an episode of “Naked and Afraid” she said, “Jelly Roll. I think he would do it, because he ain’t afraid of nothing.” She also said Ella Langley would win a hot dog eating contest.
Jelly Roll is back on American soil, but all he’s focused on is trying to fix his gut. Jelly talked about how rough the Australia tour had been. He said the distance hit him hard and that he was struggling mentally. On top of that, the long flights stirred up his stomach in a way he had not felt in a long time. Jelly has always had an uneasy gut, and he joked that when his stomach is off, everything is off. They even laughed about how the pressure in the cabin while flying makes him feel like a bag of chips ready to pop. And once he got home, his wife, Bunnie Xo, caught him in the kitchen assembling a brand-new Squatty Potty. But after the stool was built, Jelly offered some marital wisdom. He said a good husband never uses the same bathroom his wife uses for serious business. Because you need to respect the peace.
