Luke Combs has built his all-country music football team.
Here’s Luke’s lineup:
- Morgan Wallen . . . middle linebacker.
- Bailey Zimmerman . . . safety. Because the guy never stops moving.
- Luke Bryan . . . Luke said he would be the “locker room guy or the glue guy”. Every team needs one. Not so much playing time.
- Megan Moroney . . . running back.
- Lainey Wilson . . . quarterback. Lainey’s a natural leader.
- Jelly Roll . . . He said Jelly was a “former offensive lineman”. And now he’s a slot receiver.
- Kelsea Ballerini. . . defensive back.
- Riley Green. . . “water boy” . . . even though Riley was a former division one quarterback.
And when asked where Luke would place himself on the team he said, “Probably not playing. I would be riding the bench.”
Jelly Roll is one of the most generous people in all of country music. Alexandra Kay was on tour with him last year and kept getting all these over-the-top gifts and surprise adventures. Jelly gave out gifts every single day on his Beautifully Broken Tour. And not just t-shirts or merch, either. She said, “I got a meat smoker, okay?” She also got Yeti coolers, and a new pair of Hey Dudes every time they came out. But the real surprises came at night . . . usually after everyone was already asleep. Alexandra said, “I’d be in bed, face mask on, makeup off, hair extensions off . . . Then I’d get this call like, ‘Hey, I rented out the Space Needle, come on! Every night there was something . . .He’s crazy, but in the best way.”
An old episode of Bunnie Xo’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast is circulating again where she interviewed Morgan Wallen’s ex-girlfriend KT Smith. KT and Morgan share a 5-year-old son together, named Indigo. She talked about her relationship with Morgan, which happened before he got famous. And their proposal was definitely low-key. KT had to leave for work, but they were in the parking lot of a JCPenney in Knoxville. And Morgan said one of the most romantic things ever. He said, “Are we gonna do this or what?”
Reba McEntire has had an incredible life up until this point, but apparently, she’s living in her favorite chapter right now. She said, “I think I’m happier now than I’ve ever been in my life . . . It’s wonderful being 70 and getting to do what I get to do at the level I want to do it.” She’s coaching again on “The Voice” . . . she’s starring in her own sitcom called “Happy’s Place” . . . and she gets to spend every day on set with her fiancé, Rex Linn. And apparently their engagement has been a secret for a lot longer than they let on. They first told everyone they were engaged at the Emmy’s last month. But Rex actually proposed last year on Christmas Eve.
