Lainey Wilson’s Nashville story came full circle Thursday night when she headlined a sold-out Bridgestone Arena. This marked a milestone 14 years in the making. She said: “I’ve sat in almost every corner of this place . . . I always believed this would happen, but now that it’s here, it’s really blowing my mind.” And she brought out all her famous friends, too. Ella Langley joined her for “Good Horses” . . . She sang “Would If I Could” with Ernest . . . Muscadine Bloodline came out for “Pieces” . . . But the night’s loudest cheers came when Jelly Roll walked onstage and sang “Save Me”. After the song, Jelly gave an emotional speech singing Lainey’s praises. Here’s what he said, “A 66-city ‘Whirlwind’ tour. Sounds like Entertainer of the Year to me. I love you Lainey Wilson.”
Alan Jackson’s classic hit “Chattahoochee” . . . with a British accent. It’s sending TikTok into hysterics. It’s from a comedian named Michael Rhys and he has a lot of funny videos online, but this one might take the cake. He even has bad English teeth . . . and swaps out a bunch of lyrics for British references. Even Alan once joked that people outside the South probably have no idea what the real “Chattahoochee” means
What states love country music the most. And while the names up top are to be expected . . . some of the results might surprise you. Tennessee tops the list . . . and is followed by Kentucky . . . South Carolina . . . West Virginia . . . and South Dakota. But some heavy hitters like Texas and Florida are ranked much lower. Texas was ranked 28th? Really? And Florida came in 36th? That’s pretty wild. The top five states that listened to country music the LEAST are: Hawaii . . . Connecticut . . . New York . . . California . . . and Massachusetts. And here’s one other state that really surprised us: Vermont loved country music the 13th most out of all the states. I thought Vermont was a hippie state known for ice cream . . . But I guess people from Vermont love country music more than TEXAS?
Dolly Parton had to cancel her upcoming residency in Las Vegas. But Tim McGraw is going to jump in her place. Tim McGraw: Live in Vegas” . . . will be a special limited engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on December 4th, 6th, 12th, and 13th – right in the middle of National Finals Rodeo week. So, it’ll be a big week. Tim’s new shows take over several dates originally planned for “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas”, while she recovers from some medical procedures. People that have already planned to be in Vegas to see Dolly can’t be that upset that Tim will be there instead. Dolly is irreplaceable, but that’s a solid substitution.
