Jelly Roll’s health coach, Gary Brecka, opened up about how serious Jelly’s health struggles were before he began his weight loss journey. Gary said that Jelly used to sleep propped up on his side, wedged in with pillows, because if he rolled onto his back, he would suffocate. Jelly also admitted he never turned down the radio in his car, because at stoplights he could hear himself wheezing. It was so bad that every morning, Jelly would wake up and thank God he had survived the night. Jelly first reached out to Gary with a blunt message: “Do you work with fat people?” That simple DM to Gary reshaped Jelly’s life. Although having trainers and a personal chef helps too. Jelly has been candid about how childhood trauma and mental health caused his unhealthy relationship with food . . . but Gary said it was clear from their first meeting that Jelly was ready to change his life for the better.
Luke Combs is as real as it gets. But with baby number three on the way, he knows that he’s about to be in a world of pain. In fact, Luke recently compared fatherhood to “getting punched in the face.” Here’s what he said, “I feel like everybody told me all the stuff, but it’s like you can’t really understand it until you live it . . . it’s like getting punched in the face.” And then he echoed Mike Tyson’s famous line, “Everyone’s got something to say until you get punched in the face.” Gotta watch out for those toddlers . . . they will get you.
Country music festivals are hitting a wall in 2025. In just a few months, three major events have either been canceled or put on hold, raising big questions about the future of live country music. In July, the Country Roads Music Festival in Michigan was cancelled. And that was a spinoff of the Faster Horses Festival, which was already shelved. Then a few weeks ago, organizers scrapped the inaugural Iron Hills Music Festival in Alabama, only weeks before its scheduled debut. The lineup was set to feature Turnpike Troubadours, Jo Dee Messina, and Chase Rice. They said low ticket sales and soaring production costs made the event “financially and operationally impossible.” And now comes another blow: Country Jam Colorado, billed as the state’s largest country festival, will “pause” in 2026. Organizers explained the move as a chance to “re-evaluate and plan for the future”. . . which seems like the event could return. But this is the first cancellation in its 33-year history.
