Morgan Wallen walked out with former Blue Jays slugger José Bautista at his Toronto show. José is famous for his legendary 2015 ALDS bat flip after he hit a monster homerun. So Morgan wanted to imitate it and tried a bat flip while heading through the stadium tunnel. A backstage video showed Morgan launched the bat, it flew directly toward José’s wife Neisha, who was filming. She got clipped by the bat as she gasps and drops her phone. Luckily, Neisha assured everyone she was fine. And José laughed it off in an interview, admitting he encouraged Morgan to try the flip in the first place. “Funny enough, my wife ended up getting hit by the bat. But she’s completely fine. It was a complete accident and she’s totally okay.” Morgan’s “I’m the Problem” Tour heads to Edmonton, Alberta next.
Sabrina Carpenter’s new album “Man’s Best Friend” is everyone’s favorite pop album – but her song “Nobody’s Son” has people pointing out how much it sounds like Jon Pardi’s “Heartache Medication” . . . especially in the chorus. It’s close enough that fans said they immediately started singing Jon’s song right on top of it. Sabrina has dabbled in country before, even collaborating with Dolly Parton. But this sounds so close, that people are wondering, “did she just rip this off?
Blake Shelton’s brand-new competition series “The Road” premieres next month on CBS, and Blake just revealed some guest mentors: Dustin Lynch . . . Karen Fairchild . . . Gretchen Wilson will serve as the on-the-road tour manager, and the contestants will open for Keith Urban at real venues across the country. Blake admits he didn’t jump at the idea of doing another singing competition. But pairing up with “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan was too good to pass up.
Dierks Bentley and his wife, Cassidy, don’t currently share a bedroom. But they’re not fighting or anything. It’s just because he’s an awful sleeper. Dierks explained that separate rooms actually help them get better sleep. While Cassidy can fall asleep instantly, Dierks needs three pillows in just the right position and gets frustrated when she dozes off easily. “Years ago I decided to separate church and state and I got rid of our bed.” At first, he set up two platform beds with separate mattresses so Cassidy could move around as much as she wanted. But lately, things have gone even further. He said, “She used to sleep on the couch, now there’s an extra room we have, and she’ll go sleep in there.” Dierks stressed that it’s temporary. Apparently, they plan to be back in their shared bedroom before the end of the year.
